  1. That's a very high quality build of a cool subject! Excellent detailing on those engines and those photo etch wire wheels on front are a very nice touch. Excellent work!
  2. Wow! That looks great, nice to see one of these being built. Very nice paint and decal work, placing decals on top of chrome trim isn't easy but those sit very nicely on their place. I agree, more pics would be great.
  3. Thanks for the kind words Brad! I was thinking very carefully what should I do with that nose/grill area and that idea sounded the best after all. Smooth nose piece with no grille at all would have been a bit too boring so this modification makes my Fiat a bit different from most of the others. Now there will be about two weeks before the next update as the next time when I'm at home is on February 19th. Hope to have something done that weekend. This weekend was so busy that I didn't get anything done.
  4. Wow! That is probably the best looking chute that I've seen! Very nice work on it with all of those little details and the color of that chute is just right as well! Excellent work as always. I can't wait to see more!
  5. Very nice work! These Hudson kits are excellent quality, I've built the Factory Stock version and I have one of these Stock Car kits waiting to be built, too. Yours is a great inspiration, very nice and clean work all over. Nice paint job and decals fit very well to the body shapes even if they are placed on top of that side trim. I know that's not easy to do right but here it looks spot on. Only thing I'd do differently would be painting bolts and nuts from those wheels with silver. It would give a bit more detailed look, but don't get me wrong... It looks fantastic like this too!
  6. That's very nice, probably the best '70 Shelby that I've seen in a long time! Really nice and clean work all over, good looking paint job and sharp BMF. Those wheels and tires look just right too. Great job.
  7. Wow! That turned out very nice. Great job with converting it into a Delray, it's nice to see something different. I've never seen that color combo on a cop car either, but it looks really good. Beautiful model for sure!
  8. Uh, 5½ hours? Really? You could have built four models in that 24 hour build off with that building speed! I know I'd have trouble in building one of these this nice in 24 days. Really nice job. Excellent paint job and nice, clean work overall as usual.
  9. Now I decided it was time to do some bodywork while a couple of engine parts were drying. Kit's windows are molded as one piece, but since I want mine to have the windshield only, I had to cut it apart from rest of the windows. Then after a bit of fitting and careful sanding here and there I got it mocked up. It doesn't fit perfectly on place, but it is pretty good. Another thing I didn't like was the nose clip that has no hole for the grille at all. I wanted mine to have the original Fiat grille on it, so the only choice was to saw a correct size opening for the grille. Then I started removing mold lines, flash and other that kind of stuff from the body parts to get them in primer. Body had pretty much cleanup to do even if the body is really small, but after everything looked smooth and I had scribed the door lines a bit deeper with Trumpeter's Panel Scriber, everything was ready to go into my "Paint Booth". Note that the Belly Pan wasn't painted yet as it still needs some work. And then I shot some Red Oxide Primer on this one. It laid down pretty nicely.
  10. When it comes to building these '50s Fords, you're the man! Another fine example of your work. Flawless paint job and very sharp BMF work. It looks just right overall, I wouldn't believe that this nice model is really a box stock build. Fantastic work, as always.
  11. Very nice '58 Sedan Delivery! I got two of these bodies myself and they are pretty nice. Yours turned out very beautifully. Great paint job and that tube grille together with those hubcaps fit perfectly to the look. Great job.
  12. Thanks Richard, Dave, Brad, John and Gene! Much appreciated! Brad has a good point and a question that I have no answer in. To be honest I was wondering about the same thing before I decided to go ahead and use that seat. Unfortunately it was the only seat I had that would fit in here so I couldn't replace it with another one. Gene, I've done that same thing with a couple of other builds that had seats with belts molded in them. It's a pretty easy way to add a bit of realism into those seat belts rather than doing the massive work with removing molded in seat belts and then later replacing them with aftermarket parts. Here's a minor update too. I just got spark plug wires on place. That Scale Dreams' wire is a good stuff and even though it has been a long time since I put spark plug wires on a scale model this was pretty easy.
  13. You do great work and this is another masterpiece, probably the best Cadillac of this era that I've seen! Very nice paint job and great detailing all over. Excellent work!
  14. Wow, incredible work in here, but that's what we expect from you. Very nice work on this one. The chassis looks super nice and your engine detail is fantastic as always. My favorite detail is that blower belt and that Cragar logo in it. It looks just right. I can't wait to see the finished pictures.
  15. Wow! I haven't been able to check your progress for a while but looks like you've been very busy lately! Great work with the body, it definitely looks better than it did before and those steering wheel grips are amazing. Very nice little detail that is usually left out. Great job as always...Can't wait to see what you're going to work on next.
  16. Thanks Chris! It's great fun to work on these older kits where you have to add a bit more detail than on some newer kits that might include some of the details already in the kit. Here's a very small update for this weekend just to show you that I've made some minor progress. Seat was glued on place and I "stretched" the kit's seat belts so that they connect to the roll bar. For this I used paper that I painted with the same brown paint that I used on the seat belts.
  17. Nice work as always from you! This '66 Chevelle is a very good looking body, so it's great to see that the Lindberg kit can be built into this nice model. Excellent job on paint and BMF on it. That overspray on chassis is just about perfect and detailing is top notch as always too. Nice work, I gotta get me one of these kits now.
  18. Excellent looking Satellite! That color is very nice, perfect shade of red and a very smooth and shiny paint job too. With those wheels and tires it looks just about right to be driven around to Cruising Nights etc. Very nice work.
  19. Wow, very nice work as always! Combining metal and plastic on the body is definitely not easy, but this looks just right. Excellent color choice and those wheels and tires fit perfectly to this one. Great work again!
  20. This is interesting! I'm happy to see a different '58 Chevy than the usual Impala (Which is very nice car too) and especially seeing one built as a Cop Car is interesting, because that's something quite unusual. Start looks very good already, keep the pictures coming!
  21. Thanks Guys! I'm currently serving our country in Finnish Army so I only have time on the weekends (Most weekends are "vacation") so the progress is not very fast. My plan is to get this one done this year though... Gene, drilling holes to the headers was not an easy task for sure. I smoothed out those mold lines first and after that those flanges were already pretty fragile so it didn't make it any easier. I started by drilling a small hole to the center and then continued with a bigger drill bit that was just the right size. It wasn't easy but I'm glad I didn't screw it up!
  22. This update is pretty small one and the progress I've made is kind of invisible. Anyway I was going to install those rear inner fenders on place, but I noticed that there was no way I could fit them between frame rails and rear tires. Thinning plastic from those inner fenders wouldn't have been enough so I had to take rear tires off and with some sheet styrene I widened those wheels about two scale inches on both sides. Now everything fits properly on place and I can continue working on it again...
  23. That would be a great kit and I'd buy lots of them for sure. And I believe that it would be a decent seller in the hobby shops too. Those Trumpeter kits aren't that easy to find anymore either that a new kit of one would be great, especially if it was a Sedan. I'd prefer '62 though as I have one of them in 1:1 scale, but of course they're really close to each other.

    1949 Ford

I really like it too. The combination of white and copper works very well in here and you nailed the stance as well. Nice work in the engine bay as well, but those bumpers are probably my favorite part. Where are they from?

    My 2015 Builds.

Thanks so much Bernard! Yep it feels kind of odd that I got only one done, but at least it should be pretty easy to do better next year. And Cruising around in the Impala was a lot of fun and from April to October every single Friday Night I was at a Cruising Night somewhere and pretty much every Saturday too. And if there wasn't a car event on Monday through Thursday or on Sunday, I was probably just driving around either myself or with a couple of friends. That combined with work...No wonder I got pretty little modeling time during the summer months. But I have to say that I still should have got at least a second build done. With everything coming up in 2016 I can't promise much but I hope I could get at least two done. Happy 2016 to you too, Bernard!
