  1. Thanks Danno, Playing around with the placement of the aztec warrior one of about four that I want to add to this build. I changed my mind on the final look of the running boards, instead of the charm pieces I was going to add, I'm thinking about having the look a like logs for the running boards...
  2. A quick mock up with the real chain steering wheel and kinda give an idea where im heading, the biggest challenge for this build is making the stone look natural and not like concrete.
  3. Working on finalizing the dashboard and decided to do a little relief in the foam, tried to take a pic to show you the depth, sorry my phones camera is not the greatest... it will show up better when its painted...which i am getting closer to the day this thing starts seeing paint yeaaaaa!!!
  4. Thanks David, Did a quick mock up after finalizing the hinges and getting the foam cut out to accept the hinges...
  5. wow that sucks cause that Thunderbird is a great kit, maybe someone can help you out here in the trades section, if i had one an extra one i would send it to you.....
  6. Yeah im pretty sure it will get cheaper and someone will start doing it in this country maybe...
  7. Just discovered this website, they are in germany but you can go and get a full body scan and they 3d print you in scale, real pricy but all things come down, this would be great for adding your family to your models in a diorama..... http://www.twinkind.com/en/landing
  8. Very cool and thank you this is a great how to will use for sure....
  9. pretty much the final layout for the beds, really itching to get this one done, i have reached the point of being tired of it and want to get on to the egytian raider build. and the detail pops out after a coat of primer on the interior foam... the grey is not the finished color on the stone work, im shooting to get a tan color out of the stonework kind of the shade the pyramid is colored in the bed of the pickup...
  10. Thanks Augie, still trying to finish up my other build the Aztec warrior but came Across some more goodies for this build....
  11. James, hopefully by the end of this week or beginning of next ill be getting some color on it. I have reached the point that i want to get this one finished, I was hoping to have it ready for our fair in sept, we have a pretty good turn out and a few of my past builds got best of show. Was hoping this was the best of show for 2013, but have until the 6th of september to get it finished..... may not make that date however.
  12. totally amazing, love the workmanship!!!
  13. I found these a while back but was just able to pick up the pack, mostly wanted the tiny pennies, nickels, and dimes for my strippers delight build, but the watch parts come in handy to. and probably will add the hearts and stars to the trailer for the strippers delight as well. The large penny is for reference only in the pic to demonstrate just how tiny the coins are, pack retails for $9.95 but was $6.00 after 40% coupon on the app.
  14. decided to cut the foam open at the bottom of the trailer to let some grass show.......
  15. Thank you Roy, everywhere I go I drive my family nuts because no matter what, I always look at things and think can I use this for model building or for one of my lastest builds? Turned a couple hydro tank caps, I usually forget to add these to the pumps....
  16. Thanks DragLoKustomz619, i think in the bed for sure. no real updates but did get some machining done, the pullies for the motor, starter and starter motor, and overflow tank....
  17. yes very creative also any updates?
  18. Only ones they had on this hobby lobby ill check Micheals next they may have all those colors. cool.
  19. actually found the eyelets today at hobby lobby im sure Michaels has them to there in the leather isle. I see some other uses for them right off the bat. I love this thread..........
  20. WOW, where did you say you got those rubber bands? they look just like fan belts....
  21. This build is sweet and will and am following you on the custom aluminum parts, I bought a lathe a while back and am not a machinist. Your parts are sharp and clean, are you using any type of cutting fluid when you do the cutting? I love your plastic building as well very inventive thank you for sharing.
  22. Thank you James, Placement for the hydro pumps in the main bed. I was going to place them under the truck along the frame rails but think ill just go with this type of layout.
