  1. Nice model, and nice bild, I have a convertible waiting for some TLC
  2. Thanks for all these memories, I didn't know those problems about the Vega engine... And to answer your question, I was 8 years old when this car was new, and around me was full of Renault 18 and Peugeot 305, and when I was looking at an US car on the streets, it was always a great moment to me. Anyway, we've got some Buick Skyhawk with the V6 that were frequently imported in France during this area, most of the time light brown metallic...
  3. Thanks for the kind comments. For the Vega, I've made a post here few month ago, I'm sure you can find it Here it is : http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=70723&hl=%2Bchevy+%2Bvega
  4. First time I see one built, and what a build !!! Very nice and detailed !!!!! Those kits are very rare even in France !!!!
  5. Outstanding job !!!!!
  6. Some more pics : Here with some "friends" from the same size : Enjoy, thanks for looking.
  7. Hi guys, here's my latest, surfing on this year 70ies wave, a 78 Monza "Spyder". Starting with an MPC kit, decals are from Keith Mark, wheels are from a MPC Mustang ( sorry for you Chevy guys...). I modify the front kit spoiler to make it looks like the real one, the rear is from the box. I also put some Evergreen to duplicate the side molding. Hope you'll like it
  8. I'm pretty sure the pics don't deserve your model as it should do !!! Amazing work, I was lucky enough to have one in my garage once in France, and to see it move and drive, it's a "souvenir" I'll never forget, very impressive !!!
  9. YOu did a wonderful job as usual !!! Great !!!
  10. Very nice !!! Maybe a little black wash on the front grill, otherwise looks perfect !!!!
  11. Nice build, why did you leave the vent window surrounding yellow ? It would be nicer in chrome maybe .. ?
  12. License plate is a decals
  13. Thanks for the info abourt the frontr emblem, for the rear, I think that's because of the fender skirts that you have this feeling
  14. Thanks for the nice comments, it was a real pleasure to work on this car !!!
  15. Great build !!!!
  16. Some more pics :
  17. Hi guys, here again with a new built, started in the same time as the Caballero, just finished yesterday evening, so it's a 70 Pontiac Bonneville convertible, originally a MPC model, this one is the reissue from Modelking. Honestly, it's a simple kit but it became a nightmare to do it well, especially with the windshield , and with the interior also ..... Again, I add 2 or 3 things here and there : it now has an automatic transmission instead of the manual one, I add some plastic on the engine bay for a better look. I change the headlight, wheels are from the 72 GTO, just painted and detailed, on the interior, I've been working on the door panels 'cause there were kind of flat, add some power window buttons from MCG, also add some chrome molding around the front bench.... Well, I'm quite happy to have finished it, let me know what you think !!!
  18. I really like those Imperial!!! Gorgeous
  19. Thanks for the nice comments, no problem if this topic move on the pick up truck section
  20. I forgot to say I've add the black "protection" on the bumpers as it wasn't included on the orginal model kit. L'tes see some more pics : Here's a last pic with it's "kousin" El Camino to see the difference on the grill : Hope you'll like it. Also, maybe I post it on the wrong topic, as it's a pick up, well, it's half a car half a pick up... Anyway let me know.....
  21. Hi guys, here's my latest build, still on the 70ies way I'm building this year, a 79 GMC Caballero Laredo from MPC. Laredo is the a finition level with this two tone paint scheme. I had to modify the body with some molding line to have this paint scheme, also work on the rear license plate as it's much deeper on the original car. Red color is from Suzuki, paint with the aero on a silver base. I've had some flocking and seat belt on the interior.Wheels and mirrors are form my parts box. I've put the optional front spoiler to give it a sporty look. Lets show you more pics :
  22. Thanks guys , I'm glad you like it
  23. Tell me what you think !!
  24. Hi guys, here's my latest, a 71 Duster Super Stock, not a "stock" built for once but still on my 70ies way of build for this year. This project start as a "parts box" project : I've used a Duster body with an older MPC chassis ( I've built a detailed 75 Dart years ago...), engine is from a 68 Charger Revell kit, with MPC large oil pan and trans. Cragar wheels are from the 70 Torino GT kit, as the main side decals. Tires are the latest AMT product, I've painted the bumpers to replicate the poly ones, interior had lost its rear bench, but got some racing equipment. Colors are 100% Mopar stuff. Hope you'll like it Some more :
