Thanks everyone for the compliments!!! Thanks Tyrone! That means alot coming from you. I check your builds out regualarly for inspiration. I also have some good full scale referance parts in my garage which makes it handy. The paint on the chassis is krylon semi flat # 1613. I have not had any luck lately finding this in stores. I recently bought a box of 6 cans offan online industrial supply company.

Finally got back to the bench on this one. Since in the 1:1 car world I'm a nitrous guy I figured my model could use a nice plate system. I also started on some wiring and plumbing. This is my first attempt at braided lines and I'm happy with the results so far. Thanks for looking!

Looking really good Tyrone! Great job on all the plumbing and electronics. -
Looks like you got the hang of the foil pretty quick and the paint looks really good!

Thanks! The mufflers are from the old Chezoom kit. I did a little sanding to change the shape a little and added some aluminum tubing for the pipe sections.
-
Cool idea. I may have to get me one of these Hudson kits yet.
-
Installed the motor and trans today and started on the exhaust system. 3.5" with an H pipe and some flowmasters.

The Hornet's Nest: Hudson Hornet Build Madness!

I'm digging the paint job. Look forward to seeing the next update. -
I guess it could be considered a sleeper but I'm really just going for a modified old muscle car that happens to have steel wheels and dog dish hubcaps. I've always been a big fan of steel wheels for some reason.

Made a little progress on this one the last couple nights. A set of subframe connectors were added and the rear shocks were moved inboard to better clear the tires. The chassis is painted but still needs some detail painting done. I also modified the oil pan to look like a 6 qt moroso pan and started assembly of the motor. Here's a few pics. Thanks for looking!

I used my uncles Nova that i built a few winters ago as referance for the stance. And yes the car will be gold maybe with a white roof. Thanks to everyone else for you comments. I can use the extra motivation so this dosen't end up like my last few started projects.

After going to the september showdown I was inspired to get back to building. Here is my 69 Nova I'm working on. So far I lowered the front end, added a set of Ma's resins drag radials and started building a set of caltrac bars. More to come sooner than later I hope.
-
Around here I would say the hoosiers are out numbering the M/T in 275DR pretty significantly. On the other hand the M/T still seems way more common on the outlaw drag radial cars. I would love to see a 315/60/15 M/T for some outlaw builds.

Awesome models and a great story to go along with them. You have quite the imagination Chuck! Thanks for a good laugh.

Very cool!!! Can't wait to see more of this one. A rambler is the next car on my 1:1 list to build. I've been really tempted by a few I saw for sale recently. Probably end up putting the motor from my camaro in it. Should be fun in a car that size.

Thanks! I have a couple of the gasser kits on my shelf for future builds.

Thanks for the heads up on the ride height Dave. I mocked it up without the body on and overlooked that. I did some work on the spindles tonight and added some air cleaners. If you want the steering wheel its all yours. PM me you address again. I'm not sure if I have it anymore.
-
Thanks for the replys. Here's a few more pictures. Mostly out of the box. I cut off the tailpipes since I hate exhaust pipes that go under the rear. None of my 1:1 cars ever have tail pipes anyways. I also changed the steering wheel to one from the parts box.
-
Agreed. If some modern speed parts are included I'll buy as many of them as I can get my hands on!
-
Very impressive build of an amazing car. I've always really liked the birdcage and may have to look into building one of these.
-
Thanks for the comments everyone. I'm really happy with how this one turned out. I'm going to put a wash on the wheels yet since they look kind of blah in the pictures. I'll post a new picture up afterwards. I think it will make a nice improvement.

Resin Centrifugal Superchargers
RTK434 replied to shucky's topic in Car Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
As soon as these are done I'll be ordering up a half dozen or so along with some of your sweet turbos. -
Started on this one over the weekend. Stripped all the chrome and painted the motor with a variety of Testors metalizers. I'm making good progress and hope to wrap this up over the holiday weekend.

Here's a few pictures of my 68 Dart built from the latest Revell kit. I added some frame connectors, modified the kit exhaust and used the seats, carbs and wheels from the thunderbolt kit. Thanks for looking.

Cool build. I'm a closet AMC fan. LOL Ann's AMX in the video you posted is an awesome car. Had the pleasure of seeing it run in person many times. Here's a wild picture of it you might like.
