  1. Model Master laquer hondurus maroon. I may make a treck to trains and lanes this sunday if you want to ride along.
  2. It's resin from Replicas and Miniatures of Maryland. The Lincoln LSC pro street came with one and I think the Matt and Debbie Hays T-bird did also.
  3. It's my job to get you back into the hobby. You would do the same for me. LOL
  4. Small update. Got some paint on the chassis and front suspension. I used krylon semi flat on the chassis and testors gunmetal metalizer on the control arms. I added a set of parts box calipers and rotors to the front. The radiator support was painted hondurus maroon which will be the body color. The scirroco style radiator and 1 gallon fuel cell for the nitrous fuel system are from the parts box as well.
  5. Awesome cars and a great story to go with them. I love the old pro stocks and Jenkins and Booth are two of my favorites. Thanks for sharing them!
  6. Thanks for the compliments everyone. No 4 link for this one. Drag radial cars have to run stock style suspension. A typical drag radial A or G body will have tubular upper and lower control arms and an anti roll bar. Most rules allow coil overs but not everyone runs them. My 1:1 drag radial camaro has all bolt in replacement parts and still runs the stock coil springs. The tires are some old good year blue streaks from the parts box. I'm going to cut some tread into them to look like a Mickey Thompson drag radial. I hope to post more pictures later tonight.
  7. I started on this kit some years back. I had got some of the chassis mods and the roll cage built and that was about it. Since I'm building a car that would be legal to run in drag radial the rear frame rails have been notched but remain in the stock location. I then installed some mimi tubs and removed the stock gas tank. I then added some bracing to the rear frame as well as the under car tubes needed for the car to have a 25.5 chassis cert that is needed to go quicker than 8.50. Over the past few days I cut out the inner fenders from the body, fabbed a new radilator support filled the top of the frame rails and did some work on the interior. On to the pics. A few more. Thanks for looking!
  8. I've been 8.41 @ 163 in my street driven Camaro at the track. I usually drive pretty slow on the street. I can't afford a ticket.
  9. Nice build. The wheel covers came out great.
  10. LOL Those are the kits I pretend I have finished and put them in the display case for awhile. Two kits in the past 15 years made the journey. I'm going for a third by the end of this year. It was painted about 5 years ago so I think its ready.
  11. Same here. I can buy the same kit over and over but I still have to open it and look around. And my shelf of unbuilt kits is way bigger than my shelf of finished kits.
  12. I wish I could still paint bodies at work while I was getting paid like I did this one. LOL Those were the days!
  13. I was digging through my stash and found this kit. I had put the scoop on and painted it some years ago and put it back in the box. I got it out last week and started messing around with it a little. Front wheels are pro track slot car wheels. The rear wheels are from the WJ superman firebird kit. I narrowed them and added some pro track bead lock rings. Thanks to davezinn for those! I did a little paint detailing on the grille and cut the bench seat out of the interior today. It still has the metal axle chassis so the underneath won't be detailed. Just gonna be a quick build to sit on the shelf.
  14. Another awesome build John. Very nicely executed build of a rare car. I've never saw it done in scale before but it looks fantastic!
  15. I'm going to be picking one up later today. I'll try to post pics this evening if no one else does first.
  16. That looks great! The old shop I worked at specialized in working on them and I would have loved to work on one that looked like this. I think I have one of these kits in the basement. You have inspired me to dig it out and build it.
  17. I have a .030 over 305 with world products sr torquer heads and a mild cam going in it for now. My buddy built it for his 85 z-28 years back. I recently sold him my old 406 and he gave me this to use. I have a 355 with Dart iron eagles a vic jr. and a small roller cam going together for it eventually. It's a copy of the first motor i had in my camaro. Back before things got out of hand. I have to buy a new trans for the camaro first though. Gotta make sure I'm ready for the season to start.
  18. My daily driver is a 99 chevy regular cab 1/2 ton 2wd pick up. I don't have any pics of it on the computer. It's all stock except the exhaust. It's boring but gets me around. Here's my weekend toy. 1985 Camaro Here's my soon to be daily driver. V8 1984 S-10 It's alot further along but I don't have any new pics on the computer. You can see my other truck a little in the background of this pic.
  19. I just got back from picking one up. I'm very excited about this kit. Now I just need to pick up like 5 more.
  20. Box stock build with some plug wires. After only completing one build in the last 15 years it looks like I'm off to a good start for 2010. I'm starting to feel comfortable building again so it's time to start working on some more elaborate projects. Thanks for looking!
  21. Thanks! The interior is black and I did end up putting the mags back on the front. I hope to finish up a few little things tonight and get some updated pictures.
  22. The carbs are Tamiya titanium gold. The plug wires are cut off a parks pre wired distributor.
  23. Great work on the turbo and carb hat! Looks like I'll have to head to Lowe's for a couple lag bolts today.
  24. WOW! You are one talented builder. I've been checking out all your builds you posted so far and they are all amazing! Thanks for posting them.
