  1. Ford actually used the dana 50 all the way up until 2001 in the f250s and than they switched all axles to the dana 60. They used the ttb in al trucks up until 99 unless it had the dana 60 up front. Than they used a leaf spring solid axle type front end. A good place to look for reference and advice are powerstrokenation.com and powerstrokearmy.com. Ive been a member on both sites for years now. Chad

  4. If you have access to a TSC they have equipment yellow which is the exact same as cat yellow. Are you using a cat engine or just the kit motor because thats a detroit. Sorry if youve said this before. Chad

  9. thanks man, I'm hoping, I have to get some stuff mailed out and get my 1/1 running today so not alot of building time.....I have a little more to build on this stuff but I've come up with a paint scheme and we're ready to go Chad

  11. here is "Project Afterlife" it's a griffen designs 379 conversion sent to me by a buddy of mine, italeri cab, stock everything else.....there are alot of plans for this truck and I've been using the 378 to mock up items for the build....al the white plastic parts obviously are scratchbuilt....here's the list of items that have either been modified or scratchbuilt headlights-RVG 359 brackets cut off of the buckets, white freightliner DD spotlights cut off of their brackets and attached to the RVG brackets. front fenders-2 RM 359 fenders( used to keep a tighter profile on the tires over the 1/24, added a second section of fender to the back, completely smoothed the fenders, added outer lip for gangster style fenders Texas 15" drop visor 10" aluminum tubing bent with pickett style elbows smoothed and touched up for big low stacks front of tandem lightbar rear tandem lightbar and deckplating seats-lindbergh f150 4x4 seats, inside armrest cut off, seats refilled and placed into the lowered position I'll be scratchbuilding: 4-5 chime train horn to mount onto the deckplate airline box on the frame 305" wheelbase lower cab skirts for real deep low look tall shifter specs on the truck will be pete 379 cat 3406 305" wheelbase 24.5" italeri wheels 22.5" lonestar tires( lower profile lowered scratchbuilt front suspension lowered rear pete low air leaf suspension 63" italeri 377 sleeper WITH cab fairings all items scratchbuilt will be chrome p&p rear double hump fenders COOP headache rack from Sourkrauts the drawing depicts what the end result will be. all the items I scratchbuilt will be put onto this 378 as well I want to rebuild all of these items because I love the look of them on this truck, after this it will predominantly be known as "Project Resurrection"

  19. We usee to have a guy on our dairy farm for pickups he had a beautiful newer paystar quad axle with stainless tank, alcoa floats in front and alcoas all around with 8" stacks, drop visor and texas bumper it was gorgeoys. Chad
  20. why didn't amt just adapt the frame from the k123? I want to do the k123 since I've already done the revell aerodyne. Chad

  23. here's my addition, it's a parts box build COMPLETELY out of the parts box. it's a revell snaptite aerodyne front half the frame, amt pete 359 rear frame half, leftover hood that I shaved the headlights from, 359 headlights, lowered the rear suspension, lowered the front suspension, used the amt california hauler visor, revell kenworth mirrors, italeri pete tanks, 359 deck plating, 359 airline totem pole, amt 359 wheels, revell kw tires, revell front wheels and tires, scratchbuilt texas bumper....Im going to add a set of p&p double hump fenders to it to give it a little more pop...the color is duplicolor light metallic blue with triple coat of clear Chad
