  1. Not that I'm bitter about my incorrect guess, but Who works for $3.17 an hour including materials ??
  2. Sad! But on the other hand my 2 boxed kits and one glue bomb swap meet find are all I will need.
  3. Golf cart roof appears to be floating!
  4. Looks like the unsafe at any speed "twin-I beam" is finally dead. Maybe the price of an Express will come down a little.
  5. Good job Harry. I knew it was going to be hard when you didn't black out the grille badge!
  6. He said, giving them an illegal hint to throw them off!
  7. My first guess a Streamliner. From the angle of the picture it was difficult to tell a 122" wheelbase from 119".
  8. MikeMc No, what I wanted to say was I found a picture in a book and several pics on the net. that have the front car listed as 2 different models. The one in my book appears to be wrong.
  9. This game is alot more fun when there are multiple different answers found in books and on the net. Which one will be the correct one?
  10. Interesting, that just like today, cars of this era seem to all look alike, but I got it!
  11. You are correct, the styrene and lexan bodied cars don't race together because of the weight issue. I think most of the styrene models are being used in drag racing. But there are a lot of oval or tri-oval tracks around the country that run a form of NASCAR vintage style "hard body"(as we call them)classes on a heavy brass Parma FCR chassis. Lots of bashes and crashes and bumpers flying fun. My fav bodies are the '68-69 Torino, '55 Chevy, and '49 Merc.
  12. Wood grain looks out of scale, model.
  13. And did you know that Henry never wasted anything and was always looking to make a buck. So what do you do with the left over wood chunks??? Make and sell charcoal, "KINGSFORD" charcoal!
  14. Google these two: Bud Light Cut the cheese My Mom said I could
  15. Thanks for sharing!! ps: where in "aksarben" do you live?
  16. I need more updates! Have a similar project in mind. What glue are you using? Would love to see this car in person, any chance it will be at a local show in the near future? Thom
  17. When can I get a C-Type Jag-u-are???
  18. I figured there was a good story as to why the 44's were on backwards, just never heard it. Thanks
  19. I voted for and am partial to the Silver/Grey with Black interior (must have been special order) because that is what my '68 XKE Coupe has, I've owned it since 1972 and it still is my dream car! I do like the Group 44 colors though. I love the 44 on the boot, note that it is backwards, like it blew threw the car from the front and stuck on the trunklid backwards. Still waiting for someone to make a 1/24 C-type.
  20. If I didn't know better I'd say it was English with the Range Rover look and sliding side windows.
  21. It's real and he didn't do a thing to the photo!
  22. This was fun, keep the old cars coming. Chrysler must have had a big influence on Simca styling as they (Simcas) were all pretty ugly in 1968. If I remember correctly it was the Plymouth GTX in the USA. This car looks very close- front end anyway- to the '68 Nissan Gloria or Rambler Ambassador SST. Maybe you could go easy on us to start with a few rounds of cars from north of the equator! In '68 I was driving a nifty little Fiat four door sedan with a four speed on the column. Let's see more. Thanks
