Thanks for all of the replies , even though I know the good ones were nothing but "fluff" HAHA! I had a good time reading and laughed quite a bit even while I was building this masterpiece! I ruined a model, had more fun laughing while I did it than any other build, laughed a LOT while reading replies and it's the most freedom I have felt "online" when it concerns "reputations"...you know , don't say this, don't do that...what will they think? I don't care.....I had fun and that's what matters right? I knew I would get replies that were negative and I knew I would get some that were just plain FUNNY. So you asked "what's the point?"....... Try not to be so serious, have some fun with a model! I would like to thank my brother in law Bob Dudek for putting me up to this, you guys should see HIS '57! Here is a video for your enjoyment. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CO3sju-Dt_c

A Ferrari pulled up to the stop lights next to a Scooter. The guy on the bike leans over to the Ferrari window and a guy swoons over the car and asks the driver how fast will it go while admiring it. The Ferrari driver smirks and rolls the window up. The Ferrari guy decides to show off , so when the light turned green he STEPPED ON IT! The Ferrari left the bike almost at a stand still and it quickly disappeared into a speck on the side mirror. Just as the Ferrari guy slows down a bit....he sees that bike gaining on him FAST! Ferrari guy's heart skips a beat and says "oh no you don't!" He steps on it again until he sees a speck in his mirror again. Then out of nowhere that Scooter comes flying by him and passes him up! Ferrari guy is in awe and gives it all he can and passes the Scooter up again! Ferrari guy decides to find out what is up with this Scooter and slams on the brakes making the scooter crash into the Ferrari. When all the dust settles he goes over to the nearly dead Scooter guy and asks him "how in the world did you keep up with me like that?" The dying man says "my suspenders were caught on your side mirror!"

I did some google research and it appears there are both spellings. Rigor Mortis being two words and Rigamortis as one word. Rigor Mortis as a medical word has to do with death and what happens to your body. Rigamortis is like slang or something and it's explained here http://www.urbandictionary.com/define.php?term=rigamortis Not being a big smarty, I didn't know so I looked -

Someone asked why people keep ordering and a general thought on that would be "they don't know any better". Ok that's fine. My thought on that is there is always a couple or so people that respond with their experiences which is completely fair....but, it's those few replies of "he took awhile, but he did take care of me and even gave me some free stuff" that also keep the doors revolving. Are we all so desperate for "Free" stuff or a bunch of lines portraying valor and kindness that we will subject ourselves to be walked on? Like....it's ok to have my money, play with it and use it for several months...it's not like I worked for it...heck, have fun...I will be here waiting for my stuff. Oh and also the "unique not found other places parts or kits" that entices new customers. What it boils down to is people want to be in a bad mood, they set themselves up for disappointment because they want them parts or kits so badly....they are willing to put themselves in the predicament knowing that they might have to wait a long time or end up with less than par items they paid for. It's human nature to want drama brought upon us. Thus...the complaints keep coming due to the "I gotta have it at any cost" attitude. Why? If a person reads the bad reports, then it's their fault for dealing with the guy in the first place. These "rant" , heads up or "warning" threads do serve a purpose, but in a way they are helping bring more customers. (crazy world huh?) I have to question the buyers as to why they insist on doing this to themselves? I hope that anyone reading this didn't skip lines because I feel my points are valid. Don't deal with anyone who has a bad reputation and you won't be the one complaining..know what I mean? This reply is not completely directed at RR....it's just common sense guys...don't put your hand in the fire and you won't get burned. Have a nice day. I would like a Coke Zero please! -

The masters challenge.
RodBurNeR replied to Corvette.Jeff's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Andy my friend, I think you took what I said wrong. I don't think it diminishes anyone, I just think it's ridiculous to assume someone is a "master" just because their model showed up in contest or NNL coverage. I take my modeling seriously too, but not to the point that I am expecting anything other than self gratification and if others like what I share...cool beans! I also never meant that "top" modelers are ego moniacal, in fact I feel I pretty much have met or am friends with all of the best of the best from our common grounds. I have run into very few guys that have a huge head and usually they are the ones just locked up inside themselves with pure enjoyment of the hobby and they are totally proud of themselves is all. I know what ya mean, I really am tired of seeing all of the buttkicking at the keyboard around here and I only piped up on this thread because I felt it needed to be said. I hope nobody thinks I was bashing.....it's just as it reads, nothing more nothing less. -
The masters challenge.
RodBurNeR replied to Corvette.Jeff's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I understand what the plan is behind it, but the thing that gets me is just because someone's model made it into a magazine doesn't make them a "master" or "accomplished" builder. I think at times we are really taking this hobby way too seriously. Life outside our small community doesn't even realize we exist....yet to ourselves there are kings and peasants. What is it with "noted" modelers anyways? I thought we all did this for fun, but now it feels like we will get a story read to us by a fireplace about how so and so was a noted modeler. I am sorry for the tone of my reply, but it's really getting ridiculous and people are blind to it. -
