  1. The car is called Passion, It was made by Rad Rods by Troy. It has been in the Milwaukee area for several years. The upholstery is a patterned brocade. I also think it is powered by a twin turbo injected 373, NASCAR motor. Your version is coming along nicely.
  2. The October 2014 issue of Scale Auto shows you how to do this.
  3. That's been my experience in the past. Would love to get in touch with them.
  4. I wouldn't. First, a silicon mold will pick up all surface details and imperfections, like powder residue. Second, silicon doesn't stick to anything, but silicon. I don't use any release on my masters.
  5. While the engine is weak, i thought the interior was good. I too had a '77 GT Liftback SR5. Always wanted to add a V-8, like I did to my kit.
  6. Very pretty.
  7. Thanks for including the link.
  8. Thanks. I usually miss the date. I think it's a month early this year.
  9. Is Sunday the Model Empire flea market?
  10. 1941 Ford speedster, and it could be yours for under $9000. http://www.hemmings.com/classifieds/carsforsale/ford/unspecified/1690382.html
  11. Saw this in Port Washington yesterday. Turns out it belongs to a friend of mine.
  12. Looks great. One of my favorite donor kits.
  13. It can be used for temporary assembly. Soak in water to disassemble. It also makes good lenses for gauges and headlights, especially the chrome ones. And of course attaching clear parts and paper parts like gauge faces and license plates.
  14. Many fork trucks come with them built in.
  15. Thanks for the info guys. So you feel that a sidewinder V8 can be built from this kit.
  16. You are correct Ace. Trying to decide if I should buy this kit. It all depends on the V-8 info.
  17. Can anybody identify the engine in the AMT/ERTL1988 Dodge Daytona kit #38564? There is a V-8 option, but I've never seen it build nor identified. Couldn't find any info by searching this site nor the web. TIA.
  18. We're racing at Watkins Glen Sept. 5-7. If I hadn't already committed to doing that I'd be at the World of Speed in Bonneville helping the Milwaukee Midget, I/GT 996.
  19. I don't believe it myself, and I didn't get a pix of it, but I saw a Chinese Chery E5 ES on the road in Wisconsin.
  20. For those of us that won't be attending the 2014 Bonneville Speed Week from Aug. 9-15, in person, the next best thing might be to listen to live streaming on the interwebb. The link can be found here... Bonnevillw streaming
  21. Very realistic looking and well made. Brings back fond memories, I used a black 300H for towing my race car form 1970-73. The trunk was so huge that once I packed it with tools and spares, including a transmission, I just worked out of it and never unpacked it. You couldn't tell if you were towing or not. It got 8,5mpg either way;
  22. Hey Kenny, could you re-post your pixs or e-mail me a set? TIA.
  23. For you guys looking for someplace to mix paint, I use upside down beer soda aluminum cans. I even get small amounts of spray can paint by holding the aluminum can in a waste basket and giving it a quick spritz.
