  1. I have never tried that glue before. I have always used Micro Scales Micro Kristal Klear for gluing my glass in and for using as lenses for gages or speedo's. It dries crystal clear. but elmers has it beat on price.
  2. Dave... What can I say.... my first reaction to seeing the bead locks....was "Oh Holy Crapola!!" LOL. Umm I have to say that you totally outdid yourself and made them way better. Excellent work my friend!! You continue to impress me with every update.
  3. This turned out great!! Nice work. What did you use for the belt material for the pulleys??
  4. This is a very nice and clean build. Man it sure looks great. Nice work!
  5. That is so cool I think the Black Widow car would be awesome to do. I would love to do the '57 cause it looks to be a gasser to me and totally cool. I was able to score one of the Camaro's and a Firebrid. Which I think I will be doing the Camaro first and was thinking of ditching the engine sticking out of the hood.....to creating a Cowl Hood for it. I think it would definitely make it different. And I am already trying to figure out what color to go with for it...lol I really need some fun and easy builds that will be quick builds because all I have been working on for the past 2-1/2 years has been my detailed 1/16th scale Army Vega it seems like...lol Looking forward to more updates.
  6. Mitch... For fuel line you could go with Pro tech .020 to .025 line. I probably would go with the .025 line with it being a race car. Feel free to ask questions anytime. Also PM me your email addy and I will send the reference charts to you.
  7. Mike PM me with your email addy and I will send the excel file to you.
  8. Derrick.... Engine is looking great.... Love the RB Motion fittings on there as well as the Pro Tech braided line. Nice work!!
  9. Pat.... I am loving this project. This is too cool. I was so inspired by ira's deals wheels builds that I was able to find a couple a hobby shop in my home town when i was visiting there a couple weeks ago. These look like fun builds for sure. I really want to pick up one of these '57 kits too. Looking forward to more. Everything is perfect on this build... love the stance and the wheels. Nice work!!
  10. James.... this is one Killer build. I love the direction you are going. I was going to suggest laying it low.... Kind of like this... Looking forward to more on this build.
  11. This is killer... Love the weathered look you went with.
  12. Joe... This is a totally cool build and you are doing a great job on it. Keep up the awesome work.
  13. Nice work on this build. It looks great. This build makes me think of when I built the same kit many years ago.
  14. Lee... You are welcome. Looking forward to seeing some of your builds. Thanks for the kind words on my builds. I have learned a lot from many of the great builders on this forum. If you have any questions feel free to ask.

  23. Bumping this in case other members here haven't seen this before.
  24. Hey Mitchell..... take a look at this thread I started on reference material.... http://www.modelcarsmag.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=70954 It has charts that I made for Fittings, Braided line, Scale Hardware. I personally use on RB Motion A/N Fittings on my builds. Robert is a great guy to do business with and I have even had him machine some custom pieces for me as well. As for Braided line my personal opinion is that Pro Tech is the best in the business and Charlie is a great guy to talk with and do business with. Bob from Scale Hardware is another great guy I get all of my bolts from. Take a look at the link
  25. You can check with Terry at Flashpoint Motorsport Resins. He has a few different rear slicks as well as good year front runners in 1/16 scale. They are very nice. I have a few sets of each myself.
