  1. Tim...Holy Schnikes my friend. That has to be one of best looking gas pedals. Looks like you already plated it too. You keep moving that bar up a few notches with every update. This weekend I think I need to pull my plating kit out and try to play around with it again because I really need to get it figured out. I have a few items that need to be plated. Hope I can have success like you did. Going to try your method for sure. Thanks for all of the inspiration and motivstion.
  2. Art... thanks Brother. It's feeling good to be making progress.
  3. John... thanks man. No clue... lol. John C... Thank you. I appreciate the kind words. I am ready to have this thing done. It's gone way longer than I was thinking but the lessons learned and the way it's turning out, I am actually happened with it so far. Hopefully very soon I can call it done. Paul... that light at the end of the tunnel ia getting brighter and I have less than 2 months now. Sorta scary to think about that... I really need to get my butt in gear and be doing work each day on it to get there... lol
  4. Bob... thank you. John... thanks brother. It's exciting seeing the engine get closer to being done. I think you may need to start wearing depends if you are starting to poop your self. Brad... thanks man. It's getting fun again and I am hoping to pull a few more tricks out of the bag to make it look like the real thing. Dave... I take it you like.... lol Tim... Thanks my friend. I am having fun again. Dave... thanks, I appreciate it. Jesse... LOL.. thanks, that's how I was feeling when I did the mock up and felt all of the hard work I have put into the engine has paid off.
  5. Tyrone... I think I have been living under a rock or something because some how I missed this thread. This is looking great and you are killing it with all of the little details. Nice job!!
  6. Brad... That is looking great with some color on the body. You are trucking along on this.
  7. Alright Guys... I was able to get more bench time last night and it was very productive. I can say that I officially got the Manifold mounted for good and I also got the Valve Covers and Valve cover gaskets glued on as well. I feel like I hit a Milestone with just this because now that with every little piece going on the engine its all starting to come together and It's give me motivation seeing it more and more together. Ok I will shut up and show the pics now....lol Sorry for the not so great pics, I took them with my cell phone last night and was too lazy to retake pics to post Here is a shot of the manifold where I was trying to figure out which bolts I wanted to use, Nickle Plated or Brass: I ended up going with Nickle Plated and here is the Manifold along with the Manifold Gasket Bolted into place for the last and final time: Here is engine with the Valve Covers Glued on for good: Here is the Opposite side: And well this has to be my Favorite pic so far of the engine. I just had to mock it up with the Blower, Distributor and Idler pulley to get an idea of what it looked like together. The results made me smile:
  8. Joseph... I am sorry to hear about this and that he is casting your products you worked your tail off to produce these and all of your products. And Then for him to rip them off is totally uncalled for. I know I have been going back and forth on the fence of making some of my 3D parts Avaliable for people to buy but this reason right here with people ripping off other peoples stuff has made me hesitant to do it. The only reason I was wanting to was because I know there isn't as much 1/16th scale stuff out there but I could easily see someone like that Tool go cast some of it, call it their own and sell it.
  9. Niko... Thanks my friend. I am almost thinking at this point that building a 1:1 may of been easier at this point... Danno.... thanks... I don't want to say anything to jinx myself..lol Martin.... thanks, you don't know how happy I am to be making the progress I am right now. I have that motivation back on this one. It is a pretty cool thought to think about this build being done and sitting on a table at a show. I appreciate the kind words. Scott... thank you. All of the labor pains on this one is starting to be worth all of it seeing it come together now.
  10. Dave... Thanks. I am trying to make it the best I can. It's no where near perfect but good enough for me. Sflam... thank you John... thanks Brother! I am trying to keep up with all of the awesome builders here. Maybe I will get this one done this year...lol Joe... thanks Dave... thank you very much Tim. ... thanks man. I appreciate you checking in and I am just trying to keep up with you buy ypu are always raising the bar on us...lol Reeves... thank you. I have been pleased wit how things are turning out so far. I just nice to see things coming together.
  11. Bob... Thank you very much. John... Thank you man... You know I am sure hoping that I will get it done before I retire....LOL. You would think I have made a career out of this build.. Randy D... Thank you my friend! I have to admit that it is exciting seeing them together and getting to finally get an idea of what the engine looks like assembled. Time is running out and I am having to push hard to get this bad boy done in time.
  12. Paul... Engine is looking killer my friend and I think that paint is about the closest you will find to look like Billet Aluminum. Love the progress you are making with this one!
  13. John.... That is some Alclad goodness right there. Everything looks great and the weathering on the tires is just killer. this build is sure moving along. You are in the home stretch for sure and should be done with really soon.
  14. Here is the Left side of the manifold line's: Here it is mocked up on the engine since I wanted to see what it would look like on the engine. I still need to install the manifold gasket on the block and install the manifold for good on the block: Here is a front view to get an idea of how things look together:
  15. Good Morning Fellas.... I figured it was time for another update on this bad boy and after working at the bench yesterday for some good hours in, I can finally call the manifold done and move onto the next part of the build. Things ended up taking me longer as usual just because I was trying to be careful and not screw anything up while assembling the manifold and lines. Plus I also had to make all of the Sleeves for the B-Nuts on the Flared tube. It's not perfect but good enough for me at this point. I am looking forward to getting to the bench today and making more progress on this build. Here is a Layout of all of the components of the manifold read to be assembled: Here is the Manifold Pop off plate with springs and hardware installed: Here is the Manifold Lines installed in place and you can see the little bit of the Sleeve's poking out of the B-Nuts: Here is the Manifold Fuel Distribution Block:
  16. Tim... Holy Smokes my friend. Those bars make that cage complete. It looks Bad A$$!!! This build is nothing short of Spectacular!! I think the rest of us are wishing that we could build something this nice. All of the hard work has paid off on that chassis. You have me ready for another Bitchin' update
