That is totally cool and I am digging it. She did a fantastic job on this. It's great to see that she is taking a liking to your hobby and building her self. You get to have dad and daughter bonding time.

I have been a big fan of these Daytona Prototypes.... They are just a neat looking racecar. I got to see them run at the Long Beach GrandPrix back in 2006. So awesome.

John... this thing turned out so Beautiful. What an outstanding job you did on this my friend. I can't wait to see it in person. Wish I could be there when you and Art fire it up. Really glad you decided to use some RB Motion A/N Fittings and Rod Ends, it added that extra wow factor to your already Beautiful build. Nice Job Brother!

I seriously need to do something like this. I haven't had much motivation on my funny car as of late and I am sure its because I am burnt out on it but still trying to finish it so I can move on to some fun projects.

Hey CR... Welcome to the Forum. This is going to be a killer build. I would love to pick up one of these 1/12th scale kits myself one day. I would recommend taking a look at some of the stuff that Robert from RB Motion offers. He has the best turned aluminum A/N fittings around and he carries a bunch of stuff specifically for 1/12th F1 kits and For Braided line look no further than Pro Tech, Charlie carries the best braided line around. Here is links to their sites if haven't already seen them: http://www.rbmotion.com/ http://protechmodelparts.com/ I look forward to seeing this build come together. I have Tamiya's 1/20 scale version of this, but it may be the F189 that I am going to do an out of the box build with it though. I look forward to seeing this come together and will be following along.

Mooneyzs replied to Mooneyzs's topic in WIP: Drag Racing Models
Thanks for checking in guys. Sorry but there hasn't been any updates, I seem to have lost my motivation for this build. Hopefully I will get it back. -
Here is a link to a reference chart I did for hardware, tubing, braided line and A/N Fittings:

Dave... So happy that the parts arrived and that you are happy with them. You are more than welcome for me to draw them up and have printed. You have helped me out so much in the background of the Funny Car with many questions that I have asked and as well as information for a future Dragster build. It's the least I can do to try and return the favor. Which I can't thank you enough for taking the time and helping out with information. Looking forward to seeing the linkages on the Carbs but after your stuff to the '39 is done . John and Brad.... Thanks Brother!

Amazing work Tim... That Blower case looks killer. Man that is a hard decision on what to do. I completely follow what you are saying about using a smaller end mil. You could polish it as is and see if you like it or if you think you will be happier with a smaller radius. But I don't know if I would risk it but the risk could be worth it if it would make you happier...lol I think it looks great. I would give it quick polish while its still set up and see what you think that way you don't have to re-indicate everything in again. Nice work Tim... You are the Man and up there with the top few builders.

Dude... 2 Words.... BAD A$$!!! Holy smokes is this thing looking killer. There is some thing about the oil filter that I just love . Loving this whole build Actually. This has sure come to life and is an awesome build. The more you look the more details you see. This has got to be one of my Favorites!! Looks like you are on the home stretch and there isn't much left to do on it.
