Randy.... Thanks my friend, I appreciate the kind words on the Engine. You know I am at the point where I am trying not to have to redo anything on this build but it happened. The next build should go much smoother for sure. I just can't wait to get this one done.

I have a final list of things to do that I am trying to check things off and well this small hiccup has pushed me back a little. Brad.... As promised here are a few pics of the new Chassis Floor Tin.... Here is the remade floor tin, It still needs to be painted but the painful task of remaking it is done. But the good news is that It fits much better than the original one did and am much happier about that. Also Thanks goes out to Brad because he was the one that gave me a sheet of this printing plate which I still have plenty of stock to make more parts from and its really easy to work with. Brad... Thanks Brother!! Felt good to check those off the list. But it seems every time that I start to make some good steps forward there is always something that ends up pushing me back. I started to install the chassis floor tin yesterday and well it didn't go very well and did not fit like it did before, actually wasn't going to work at all. So needless to say I had to re-fabricate a new one. Guess this is the story of my life on this build. I am so ready to be done with it. I will try to get some pics up in a bit.

Well Fellas... I was hoping to have this update posted a little sooner but I had to finish up stuff for work this morning and it took much longer than expected. So needless to say I rushed on these pics since my camera battery was dying and they didn't turn out great. I will have to retake these but I wanted to show a little bit of the progress I have made this past week. I was able to install my under seat panels as well as the chassis side tins to the chassis. Thanks! Yeah I have been wanting to add mm to it so that it will fill in some blanks, I just haven't sat down and done it yet. I originally did this chart for my 1/16th scale projects and at the time decided to add the other scales since I had seen so many people asking what sizes of tubing to use for certain things. I though that having a reference chart could help others here. I will get the spreadsheet updated so it has both Inch and Metric sizes on there. I have a personal preference with working in inches myself over metric units but that because it's what I work with on a daily basis designing parts in Solidworks for work along with working with my machine shop. I can easily relate if something is let say .030" , .050", etc vs knowing 2mm, 2.5mm off the top of my head. I will usually convert the mm to inches so I can relate to the size easier. That's just me though.

Ok Fellas, I have been getting a little bench time in this week and I should have a little something for you tomorrow. I have to let the glue dry on something I have worked on the past couple nights. The way that I had to approach it I was only able to Glue one piece at a time for these parts so it's taken a few days just because I want to make sure it has a good bond and didn't move on me. I just found this build and I am blown away by your skills. I see you are another Tim on here.... Man do you guy have some serious Machining Skills. Love the work you have done and will be following along on this build.

Brad... I totally know the feeling you are going thru right now. It will come back and get ya. The model isn't going anywhere. Find something else that strikes your fancy. I know all that I have gone thru with the Vega that once I am done I am going to start a handful or 2 of kits that way when I feel I am getting burnt out on one project I can tinker on something else and then come back to that project that I was getting burnt. I am here for ya Brother!!

Moving slow because I am trying not to screw stuff up. I have been pushing myself to see what I'm can and can't do. Never know until you try right . It feels good to be back at the bench building again.

Alright Fellas.... I was able to squeeze in a little more bench time this afternoon. What I thought wasn't going to take me very long ended up taking me a little longer than I thought. I know it always happens like that but then again I am at a point in this build where I am trying my best not to screw anything up as I go. So I was able to get the Water Jack lines fabricated and installed onto the engine. One more thing to Check off the ole to do list. I was pretty happy with myself I think I only had to redo the lines a total of 3 times, a much better success rate than I thought I was going to have.. . I figured I was going to end up with a pile of bent wire. Tim... Holy Smokes that has to be the best gas cap ever..... Just to see if you could, I am beginning to wonder if you made the tank to hold some Nitro to fire this bad boy up. I really need to consider to quit posting and building after seeing this. I am so blown away by your incredible work. You continue to raise the bar on each of us every time you post. It's a pleasure to watch you build and see this come together. Looking forward to the next update already.

Hello Fellas... Well I got a little bit of bench time in today. Was happy that I was able to check off another item from my to do list. Wish I could continue working on this but I have to get ready to go over to a friends for a BBQ to watch the Canelo vs GGG fight tonight. I was able to work on the Water Jacks and get them pretty much completed other than one item left for them. I just need to fabricate the line that goes from the Water Jacks down to the header. Anyway I have a few pics I took with my cell phone so they aren't the greatest but wanted to show some progress and that I have been at the bench. I had started by making the check valves that go on the exist side of the water jacks. I used some RB motion nuts and some Abilon Alloys tubing. These pieces were made from 4 pieces as shown and since I was having trouble gluing them together I actually staked the inside tubing basically by flaring the tubing to lock it in place: Here both check valves are completed: I had modeled the Water jacks and Cap a while back and had them 3D printed from Shapeways. Then recently when I had drawn up the Hampton Blower for another project I decided to draw up some fittings that attach to the water jack just to see if they would print because they are so small (.035" thick x .055" wide x .065" long) and to my amazement they actually printed, i think I pushed the envelope on these. I had gotten the water jacks painted with Alclad a while back and the Cap to the Water Jack painted a black:

It's a little too small for this build anyway...lol. awesome news that you got the hoop in last night. Just like you I can' wait to get home from work and get some bench time. Seeing your brass chassis make me really want to start on one. Soon I will be able to.but first I have to finish another build, ar least that's what I am telling my self. I am not letting myself start anything new yet. I am looking forward to seen more of this chassis. Keep up the great work.
