what exactly are you looking for?
  2. Tim... That there is so gorgeous plumbing work my friend. Love the bottles set up. It looks great. This is giving me motivation to get to the Bench. Everything is so clean and precise. Keep up the great work.
  3. Paul... I love that. I am going to have to try that sometime myself.
  4. Here is a Link to Jalopy Journal on Dow 7 coating topic with a few paint samples: https://www.jalopyjournal.com/forum/threads/what-color-paint-to-use-to-match-dow-7-coating.235753/
  5. Art.... looking good Brother!!! I am totally digging thus buuld.its going to be killer when finished. Looking forward to more of your awesome work.
  6. Tim.... I want you to know that I am here for you and will be encouraging you the rest of the way for this Epic build. I would first tell you to continue what you are doing because you knocking this build out of the park. Second I would tell you not to worry about the time it will take to do the final assembly and you should not let that discourage you. You will have some days where you feel you haven't gotten alot if traction or made much progress and other days it will seem like you made leaps and bounds. Better to take your time and know you are happy with the outcome than rush and mess something up. Third, I know all too well what you are going thru because I am feeling the same thing on my funny car. There is so much to consider when it comes to final assembly. You have to think out each sub Assembly and all the wires, hoses, etc and the order that you need to put them in. Fourth... if you ever need to talk you can call me you are more than welcome to. I think you have my number. If you don't let me know and I can email it to you. You will find this funny I have taken probably 2 to 3 hours honestly probably a lot more than that to glue my floor pan to the funny car chassis along with gluing 4 bolts that I had to trim down to fit. Problem was I was trying to be cautious so I wouldn't screw anything up or that I wouldn't glue it in the wrong spot. I set the thing up a good hand full of times how I was going to glue with 30 min epoxy. To glue one piece (The floor plan to the chassis) and 4 bolts (that had to be shortened) took me way longer than it should of. But they are now installed and I can move onto the next item.
  7. Tim... That is some serious Eye Candy... Just Gorgeous
  8. Tim... Thank you... now I think I understand correctly...lol. What I am seeing connected to the parachute lever is the Hiroboy flexible spring cable. What a Great Idea and relistic looking. You aren't missing a detail in this build. Looks killer.
  9. Tim... thanks brother I appreciate the info I could swore that from the pic the one line looked like it was a cable. I will have to look that company up. I think I have picked up some of that tubing from spurs brothers before. I know my one local hobby store sometimes has the Albion tubing but selection is limited.
  10. Tim... You continue to amaze me with each update. Those little details are just amazing my friend. I can't wait to play with some brass chassis's and tabs like you have been. Your work is so inspiring. Is that a fine cable for the parachute release you are using? If so what size and where did you find it. Keep up the great work on this.
  11. Charlie....it's great to see you back at the bench. This build is looking good. I have always loved your work.
  12. hi... I wasn't trying to argue either. I didn't think that you were disrespecting me. I know you were voicing your opinion and I didn't take it personal. I know where you are coming from on the price of kits and parts these days and one has to know how much they are willing to spend on a given build. I know too well that it can add up quick. I am sure all if us modelers try to save any sort of money where we can.
  13. I gotta go with Zap-A-Gap and Plasti-Zap. I have found those have worked better for me but I have used other brands too
  14. Aruf...Hello... I will first say that using 3D printed parts are not for everyone and the original post was asking where they could find a 350. I was just showing another alternative besides Kits and Resin parts. Yes the cost is a little more but you have to consider the Material cost, Labor of the print service, Some cost for the volume of the print machine (depending on the material being printed). I have never heard of indycals before and yes resin tires would cost much cheaper than having them 3D printed. I know you are saying it's better off piliging a kit part or parts pack but but I would say To each their own. I personally don't have an issue with using 3D printed parts and yes there is sometimes a little more work in having to prep them for paint because Nothing will compare to the finish that you get from injection molded kits. I Actually draw up all my own parts and have them printed thru Shapeways printing service. My issue is that I am building some specific cars and no one has the correct parts that I need to make these replicas, plus with me drawing the parts up I know that things will be as accurate as I can draw them. I know this is not everyone's cup of tea and that is ok that we are all different. I just think that is nice that we have a lot of aftermarket companies.... Resin, Photo-Etch, 3D Printed parts, Turned Aluminum...etc To chose from if we want to add additional detail to a kit. Most important thing is that we all enjoy and have fun with our hobby
  15. Jeremy... You could also check out TDR and whats available from them that is 3D printed. Here is their link: https://sites.google.com/site/tdrhtmllearn/home/engine-shop/chevy-engine-selection Here is their Store on Shapeways, you will have to navigate thru all the pages here: https://www.shapeways.com/search?q=TDR+Innovations&type=
  16. Tim... Awesome work my friend. That fuel pump Assembly is gorgeous! I know the labor pains all to well on tearing something down and redoing it all. I have a lot of respect for you on how you have approached this whole build. Every little Sub-Assembly is a model of its own. It is so easy to underestimate how much time it will take building something at this Caliber. The extra time and work is well worth it when you know you are satisfied and happy with it. Continue what you are doing. Loving your work.
  17. Hello Tim... Welcome. You will find a bunch of great people here
  18. Tim... Wow my Friend, that is some beautiful work you got there. It's so darn impressive and to think how much smaller things are in 1/25th Scale. You are nailing these details. I would be extremely proud. Keep up the great work and I look forward to your next post.
  19. Len... I would think that you could use Tamiya Clear yellow or Mr. Hobby Clear Yellow. I have used the Tamiya Clear smoke to tint windows before and that worked for me. I am also thinking that you may be able to use some Future tinted with some food coloring?? I have never tried the Future myself but I would think it would work.
  20. Tim... It looks like you are a natural when it come to plumbing just like you are with your Machining skills. I love what you are doing with the fittings and fuel pump. It is sure coming to life. Keep.up the awesome work. I am looking forward to making some chips here soon after the F/C is finished. Hope I can make some pieces as nice and you and Dave.
  21. Tim... This fuel pump just Rocks my friend!!!! and that fuel pump neck is just killer. I love how you media blasted it to give it a casting look. I really like that. I may have to steal that idea and ask what the set up is or the tool you purchased for that. I have seen some miniature media blast guns at Micro Mark. Your work is really inspiring and its making me want to get to the bench. I do appreciate the kind words and you checking the pics out on the Vega. I should have an update for you here real soon. I was able to get a couple piece repainted and just haven't had time to install them. Yow know how bad I want to get the Vega done so I can start on some other really cool builds. Plus your's and a few others brass work has really inspired me to go with a Brass chassis on the next project.
  22. Tim... You continue to raise the bar for the rest of us. You are truly in a league of your own with this top notch Craftsmanship and talent. Each update continues to impress me. You need not to get discouraged by the amount of parts you are making compared to others. You have to remember that you are making everything from scratch and that there is a lot more work and time that goes into that..... the planning, figuring out how you want to approach a part, how to set it up in your mill, designing the part on paper....etc I could go on. The quality of work you put out blows me away. Some of the best work around here. I just hope some day that I will be able to machine parts like a few of you guys do around here with the results you guys pull off. I will be looking forward to seeing the fabrication completed on this fuel pump.
  23. Art... This is one Bitchin and Bad A$$ build. I love what you have done here. I am sure it was a fun little build. Nice work Brother!!!
