I loved seeing your work in person and getting to talk with you. But you do need to take care of yourself first. Can't wait to see your next update.

  15. Dave... Thank you. Thanks for also being excited but I think you can relate to how I feel seeing it come together. I so want all the lines and everything on it so bad but it still has a little work ahead. Tim... Thank you so much. I am chipping away at it, hoping to have it done sooner rather than later...lol Mitch... Thank you. I have never done that rust trick but to be honest I am debating if I should add a little more just to darken it a tad. Bill... Thanks for posting the pic. I had asked a dear friend about this block and form my reference pics it seems as they used an Aluminum Block for the Restored car. So my friend send me a few other pics of some blocks that showed that it had ports at each mains and he said that I could pull pressure from there. I am pretty sure when Prudhomme drove this back in 1974 that it had a cast iron block. I was just back at the Don Garlits Museum over Christmas this past year and on display was Prudhommes Army Cuda which was driven after the Vega and that car in the museum had a cast iron block and it was painted black and I was able to see the port you have shown in the pic. Believe me I was going back and forth on where to plump the oil pressure gauge to because I was trying to get it right. Paul... Thank you for explaining things a little better for me. I appreciate it.
  16. Mike... Thank you My friend. I am making headway that's for sure. Brad... Thanks... it feels great to be putting things together for the final time. John... Thanks Brother, I have been trying hard to make it look as real as I can. It's not perfect but good enough at this point. Hakan.... thank you Bob... Thank you. it feels good to be making progress and I would just love to have it done for GSL.

  19. Paul... Nice work man... This thing is just looking killer with all of the 3D designed parts along with you cutting chips. Love how things look with the pulley and getting some paint on them parts. Keep up the great work my friend!
  20. Rom.... Hey man it's great to see you back around here. You are talking about the White Soft and Flexible material right?? I have one of the first 69 Pro Mod Bodies from them and That is the material that it is. I personally haven't done any work on it yet but now that TDR is having many more bodies, I am seeing some awesome subjects that I wouldn't mind picking up myself. Anyway let me get back on track with your post. Here are some different You Tube Videos where Tim from TDR explains how to work and prep some of the parts. He explains that the best way to seal this White Strong and Flexible Nylon is to use Super Glue. Take a look here, I have also included a couple other you tube video links from Tim at TDR: Superglue seal only Finishing TDR Innovations' "Sand Cast" Material Step 1 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=dzbyY4qllFI Finishing TDR Innovations' "Sand Cast" Material Step 2 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=kAUiBUPNW9M Finishing TDR Innovations' "Sand Cast" Material Step 3 https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hh94cEIGqqU
  21. Well Fellas... I got a little bit of more progress completed. Now I had a little bit of a minor set back this week and was hoping to be farther along this weekend. I started out working on the oil pressure gauge got it made up and then completely screwed it up. So back to the drawing board it was. I made the oil pressure gauge from 3 pieces of brass tube soldered together, Then I used a Model Car garage photo-etch gauge set for the face and bezel ring. I wish it would of turned out just a little better but at this point I am happy as I can be because I don't want to keep redoing things. Here is what the gauge looks like after it was glued in place. And Like a dumb dumb I totally forgot to take progress pics of how I made the gauge: I had drilled the line in the block and used .5mm hex nut for the fitting and used some wire for the oil pressure line that I weathered just a tad bit: Here is an up-close shot of the fitting: After getting the oil pressure gauge installed it was time to install the head gaskets, heads and headers for the final time. I am pretty happy with how things are looking so far: Opposite side, the braided line needs a tad bit of weathering in my opinion to just tone it down ever so slightly:
  22. Danno... I am surprised I have you speechless. We will see when DSC gets here.... Joe... Thanks buddy, I will be honest the only reason I tried to resemble the rust is because that I saw it in the pic or else I probably wouldn't of done it...lol Dave... Thank you. That's great you will make it out. hopefully you will have your Willy's done by then. would love to say hi when you get there. Mike.... Thanks, I have to admit that I am happy that I did the rust bit, I think it adds a tad bit of character to it. John... Thanks Brother. Means a lot but I am sure there are many others can do way better. Dave... Thank you my friend.
  23. I wanted to be there so bad.... Next Year for Sure!!
