  2. I had to make new engine mounts thats all. I hate the engine thats included in these kits lol, iI dont know what Revell was thinking..
  3. I haven't built a Hot Rod in a long time so I got started on this one! I used a small block chevy from AMT's 57 chevy pickup, the car will be all yellow as you can see the frame is already painted. thats all for now.
  4. I notched the bar just using a file so it fit tight against the other one.

  7. thanks guys! i put a brass wire inside the tubing, then bent it, that seemed to work pretty good lol little update now i decided on these 60's style rims, and i added brakes & calipers i found in my parts box
  8. I made a custom dash, the gauge trim rings are made from thin wire. But I still have to add the bolt heads to the steering wheel

  11. Started work on this one! this is the Revell kit.of the greatest car of all time! I will do mine in this electric blue from dupli -color here is where I am so far, painted and cleared and I made a new roll bar form alumnium tubing.

  16. Got my decals today and finished this one up! Awesome decals by Powerslide!!!!
  17. heres the dash so far. I cut off the molded on ingition boxes, and made my own. I still have to add gauges and detail the panel

  19. thanks, yeah i just use spray paints. my favourite paint lately is krylon http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v299/cb1000_f/IMGP3549.jpg and i use this clear over everything from enamels, lacquers and acrylics. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v226/cb1000f/IMGP9539.jpg the goodyear tags are from a JWTBM decal sheet, you can also find them in all of the AMT kits.

  21. here is one im workin on, the FedEx Express car. i like this scheme since it reminds me of Earnhardt's paint scheme just waiting on the "goodyear" decals so i can finish up the tires

    thanks guys! yeah the flames are the "Torch" decals i used the black braided fishing line and the steel fishing line for the rear brake. and for the fuel i used some tubing i had left from a tamiya bike.
