  2. lol that bugs me also. no worries though those received polishing and BMF earlier today to
  3. added BMF, and painted the interior roof and stuff
  4. thats one sweet engine in there!, the alclad parts really bring it to life! nice interior also!
  5. I glued on the air cleaner so i didn't bother detailing up the carb lol for the pipes i paint them flat brown then add on some pastel, black, white and a rusty color
  6. no thinning or adding any hardener etc. its all pre mixed just load up your jar and spray, I got it at Canadian tire, im sure just about any auto parts store would have it in stock. pretty cheap and works over any kind of paint http://www.carparts.com/DUPLI-COLOR-PAINT-...22197_10618.car
  7. heres the body, painted metallic red. cleared with duplicolor BSP300
  8. JTRACING

    GPZ-400R

    Finished up today.
  9. I used food color mixed with future
  10. A better foam to use is the foam insulation for walls. if you go in a home depot or something you can always ask a guy if they have broken sheets and get it free!. the stuff carves so much better you can actually carve in detail like stone walls or steps etc, around here it pink, i think in the U.S its blue looks like this its called rigid foam insulation http://www.daviddarling.info/images/foam_b..._insulation.jpg
  11. finished up today heres a few pics
  12. got the stack painted and glued on
  13. got the drivers side mirror and grab rail on. also thought id build up the "model box" that's included in the kit
  14. for headlights/taillights I use future
  15. starting to add some weathering on the frame thanks its real simple!, i just use cheap acrylic craft paint from the dollar store. simply brush on, let it fully dry then use a damp cloth and wipe off any paint that got on the body panels.
  16. chassis painted. next I'll spray dullcote on the chassis and tires. then add some washes and pastel chalks . the wipers are from my parts box. I added real rubber blades to bit of work on the exhaust the stack . i added aluminum to the top part. also added clamps so they line up with the brackets on the air snorkel thing. gotta pick up some plastic tube so i can make the cross over pipe, i wanna run it on top of the tranny not under the frame like the kit part.
  17. how come you can reply to your own topic on SAE with 3 more pics each time for infinity ending up with how ever many pics you want.. as long as each "reply" has only 3 pics lol how is this different then posting them all in your original post.?? makes no sense.. and how come they had an entire feature article in there mag about the General Lee and they showed the rebel flag on the roof it wasn't edited out..? again makes no sense lol not bashing them at all i look on there site and post once in a while just those 2 things seem weird to me
  18. not a big fan of there forum.. whats up with the 3 picture rule? but if I reply to my own thread with more pics its ok that makes no sense to me lol... I cant post a general lee build cause of the rebel flag. gimme a break. I see an article in scale auto mag just for building a general lee and a big ole rebel flag in there magazine lol! other wise as stated before if your not in the clique there you wont get much feedback, and if you do its never any constructive criticism that is helpful its always the same old good work remarks. I liked the old car modeler magazine, cant say much on SAE haven't bought one in like 6 years..
  19. my first big rig build! I love the COE style trucks did some paint detail on the dash! still gotta add the cb radio basic cab painted. will add weathering once the interior is installed.
  20. i still need to add West decals but otherwise im calling it finished.
  21. prices here aren't bad Ontario Canada, a few months ago they were 1.20 per liter, now there back to around .74 to 80ish cents
  22. got this one finished up today, nothing fancy Revell kit some interior details and a Lego helmet
