  1. Thought I'd try my hand at one of these, I find them pretty cool! 1929 ford truck

    old engine

    got bored and stuck this together for fun. about 20 mins of work
  3. what happens to your ride after tearin' up some dirt roads
  4. after tearin up some dirt roads.
  5. completed chassis
  6. that looks sharp! really like the gauge setup
  7. hooked up the driveshaft. also added whitewalls on the backside of the tires with acrylic paint.
  8. rear suspension installed
  9. some light weathering on the chassis
  10. did a bit of interior painting its GM dark brown. in the duplicolor spray cans. not sure if was around in 1970 but fits the era i think.
  11. added some BMF its easy to use, I like to wet sand everything with 2000 grit, wipe it dry as you go and just sand until its perfectly even. then just rub the polish on until you hear it squeak lol. i use scratch X as a final polish also.
  12. wheels and tires. they came molded orange not chrome plated... so i had to use BMF to make the outer edges chrome and I painted the centers black. re-scribed all the panel lines. basic engine stuck together I went with a metallic brown for the color
  13. Tamiya 1/20, made out of box I added weathering for a post race look. I didn't bother detailing the engine I'm more interested in the outside parts and overall look. here's a couple pics of the real car from 1990

  15. I find no need to thin them at all. ( if you want to thin it just use cheapo lacquer thinner) I just sprayed it on bare plastic since I didn't need to do any filler work on that body. my LHS has a ton of these on sale for a $1 every time I go in a pick up a few jars lol
  16. I couldn't tell you where there from they were in my parts box forever finally they fit in some tires lol. those are kit mirrors only came with 2 well I used duplicolor clear coat, but this is the color I used lol
  17. finished up today,AMT kit. just a quick build good to get something done lol
  18. found some decals from an old Cuda sheet i thought they would dress up the engine compartment a bit Figures i would goof up something! just trying to get stuff done fast as it was a long weekend here
  19. engine installed now. still details to add in the there also painted the marker lights on the body
  20. spent some time on the interior today. dash is simply drybrushed, the trim on the doors is BMF and the interior installed
  21. got the firewall painted and installed. and added some black washes around the engine compartment
