  1. thanks! Sorry I didn't take pics of every stage, I got in the zone lol. I airbrushed the grey on, then airbrushed the front frame black and the same in the rear tire wells, I brush painted the gas tank, Then airbrushed the blue overspray on. clear coated everything and then did my weathering. The grey is craft acrylic, kinda a medium grey color.
  2. That interior is excellent! Nice attention to detail
  3. Revell Snap Peterbilt engine
  4. chassis painted, grey with body color overspray, weathering with artist oils. Sealed all with flat clear. i noticed I missed painting a section of fuel line! I'll have touch that up
  5. thanks, I use embossing powder got the front suspension painted
  6. right from the tube, I only thin if I'm using it as a wash.
  7. thanks!, on the seats i mixed up red/black/brown craft paint to make the darkish brown color. a couple layers brushed on, then the final coat i stippled it on to make some texture. clearcoat it. (dupli-color gloss) then use raw umber artist oil brush it on and wipe it off to make the lines darker, then go in with black artist oil in the corners and blend it out, then.again clearcoat it. then I drybrush lightly with white oil paint. and then spray it with a dull clear. my lights kinda wash out the effect but it has a nice look in person with the shading
  8. thanks! got some paint on the interior, nothing to fancy as its not all the visible in the finished model
  9. no I just primered it with grey primer, and painted everything on after. I've tried that other chipping method and found it was a lot more work to get the same effect! I just kinda blob on a bunch of a dark black/brown mix of craft paint and then use a q-tip to remove it randomly to get the chipping. I do go back and highlight a few of the edges with a lighter yellow though I was wondering when someone would notice the chain lol, it is just a spare photo-etch chain i had left over from a 1/35 scale Dragon jeep kit.
  10. it's the oil paints that come in a squeeze tube that painters use. It is brushed on. @KJ, yes I use the oil paint on the tires and rims to kinda like a drybrushing with it.
  11. I painted the rest of the engine parts up and did a bit more dry brushing with the oil paints. i thought a red fan would stick out better in the model also got the wheels finished. kit chrome with artist oil over top to make them look more aluminumish lol.
  12. here you go, it's a whole series of videos the guy made. https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=6vBc4MJXfog the paint I use on the engine is " crafters acrylic " brand dark yellow
  13. Great looking rig! Nice start , clean work!
  14. thanks!, not a fan of washes or pastels, I mainly use craft paints now, and artist oils "neat" from the tube no thinning. This is craft paint over a aluminum base color, layered up different colors and lightly rubbed some off to reveal all the colors.
  15. I prime it with duplicolor primer, then wet a q tip in thinner and clean off primer from all the trim I want Chrome. Then paint it with a brush for final color
  16. hey guys heres some progress on the engine. still need to paint the transmission! no clue if hoses are in the right place just wanted it to look cool lol I painted it with craft acrylics and weathered using artist oil
  17. exhaust pipes
  18. interior finished
  19. Thanks! I looked at many pics online, some dashes are aluminum and some have wood grain, I just like the wood look better so I made it that way lol, the oil filter decal comes in the kit, spark plug boots are just some small wire from an old broken radio. the chrome gauge bezels are thin wire I wrapped around a drill bit, attached them with future, then really seal them on with some clearcoat.
  20. carpets installed
  21. I found an automatic shifter setup that works in the console
