  1. Thanks, appreciate it !
  2. I'm on an iPad and as I was reading this topic, a line popped up along the bottom telling me someone replied to this topic just now, so you get real time updates in threads. I don't like the round avatars though. Otherwise seems nice, works good on my desktop and iPad
  3. I think .35 is a little small for painting model cars. that's more for detail work. you want a .5 or larger even if your doing bodies and general painting. also depending on the paint you use and the type of airbrush, the air pressure you spray at can affect the way the paint lays down. best to just do some practice until you get it nailed down for the materials you prefer to use
  4. you could probably sand it out with like 800 grit, and paint it again, no need to strip it all the way down if your looking to refinish it. i think it looks cool but I'm partial to weathering lol!

  6. nice! not one you see built up to often!
  7. I know for a fact they can disable members from making posts and commenting. In my opinion that should have been implemented and my post cleaned up and kept open. Make a stand against this non sense
  8. Looking sharp! Love the wheels and tires
  9. Pretty disappointed that I can't post my General Lee build without the topic being locked. What is wrong with this country!
  10. Great looking build!
  11. This is the 1/25 scale kits, I used the revell '69 charger kit, the one with the vinyl roof
  12. Thanks! I use the duplicolor Hugger Orange code- CBSP207, it's the 1 quart can
  13. Thanks! I used testers Fl.Tan enamel, the small square bottle
  14. thats cool! nice original idea! I've yet to see one of these things driving around lol
  15. couple more pics
  16. Finished this one up, used the MPC and Revell kits. MPC decals, wheels and tires, homemade push bar. added some light weathering too thanks for looking!
  17. Looks like the LHS here is going to kick the bucket soon. It is an art supply store and model shop. The art department recently closed so I assume the rest is soon to follow. It's only been here 65 years of course. But I must admit they really downsized the place the last 2 years it used to be to storefronts now it's only one side and they stuck the models in the basement, and they about tripled the price of everything so it's no wonder I shop online. I always wonder why they don't have an online store they have a website that is pretty well useless. Selling online could really bring some bucks in the door. Also the staff seems to have become kinda jerks eyeballing everyone like your gonna rob the joint. Really turned me off. And I have been a regular there for the last 15 years
  18. so I finally did some more work on this build painted a metallic blue craft paint. then weathered with artist oils. the chrome trim is cheap HVAC tape from the dollar tree.
  19. Great work! Nice to see a weathering job from your bench!
  20. Yes that clear I posted I've used over any paint from lacquer to craft acrylics to artist oils. It is also the cheapest clear duplicolor offers at least in my local stores running under 8$ a can
  21. Hey I can't speak for that type. But I can highly recommend the enamel version. It dries in mins and I can fully wet sand and polish a car all in one day Been using this stuff for years now
  22. At that price it's probaly a snap kit. And won't have any Goodyear decals and probably many more decals missing which is always disappointing
