  1. That sucks that another shop is closing. I'm in the St Catharines area also, ours LHS used to be huge and awesome. Now it has shrunk in size and tripled in prices lol, no more Alclad paints etc.. hardly ever buy stuff there anymore other than some supplies I buy maybe 1 or 2 kits a year there to give some support but I used to be in there once a week in years past !

  4. Thanks guys!, I use the duplicolor on every kind of paint, never had a problem, it's the acrylic lacquer one.
  5. I got the gloss varnish (dupli-color Lacquer) on and its ready for decaling next! for color, I custom mixed up 3 shades of gray using craft acrylics, and sprayed them on at 8 psi. all the shading should really pop once it gets its flat varnish

  7. looks pretty nice! a nice change from the normal green camo on the more complex canopies you can always use liquid masking you should check out the new airfix 1/72 kits in the red boxes. they are tamiya quality at only 8-10 bucks and nice simple fun builds

I don't know much about master brand, but I would recommend buying American made, and not support a communist country whenever possible lol, Badger or Paasche both have very affordable stuff available at Michael's or hobby lobby and you can use your coupons etc and have a quality product I use a Badger Patriot 105 with a .4 and a .5 needle. And also the trusty Paasche H
  9. I got the drop tanks painted, I used "craftsmart" acrylics, I wanted the tanks to be a different gray tone than the rest of the plane so I mixed more blue into it.
  10. its almost the same thickness, and for the price of 1.99 you get more than 2 sheets of equivalent "BMF" \
  11. I use the cheap HVAC tape from the dollar tree and it works sweet, and it doesn't get those micro tears that BMF seems develop

  13. hey guys, I picked this kit up recently thought I'd start on it! I haven't built a Jet in a very long time, not since I was like 14 or so lol so this will be just out of the box. so far I made up the cockpit, I only added in some home made seat harness from masking tape and pop can metal painted with craft acrylics, as will the whole plane!

  18. My work area is a storage closet, everything made from scrap wood from a new house construction site on my street, just asked the guy if I could take any scrap wood they had
  19. Looking good! a lot of new revell kits have this "pin" on the clear lenses, it's terrible design flaw
