  1. I use solder all the time and it CA's quite nicely, however, I work in 1/18 so I can get away with it!
  2. Love the look of the hood between those dual head-light fenders! (am waiting to see how you shoe-horn an engine and rad in there)
  3. Shocks put together and ready to install (after paint) and some more work done on the front-end. Also, threw some primer and paint around!
  4. Had to go to the dentist today so not much done. Added some 'iron' and the shock towers. Hope to get the shocks made and mounted tomorrow.
  5. You are welcome! My wife just saw this thread and walked away shaking her head. You would have thought that she would be used to this by now!
  6. Well I finally managed to get some 'work' done today. Put in a firewall and a bit of detail added to the engine bay. I am adding some spring/shocks in the cut-outs. There will be a stiffener that arcs over the engine between the towers so no hood.
  7. More bead stuff, ready made hydraulic/shock ends.
  8. Good tip. I frequent beader suppliers but missed those!
  9. You can try wicking away the excess from the tip with some paper towel, tapping the bottle to settle it and blowing gently down the nozzle (do not touch it with your lips!). Any or all of these methods will work SOMETIMES! It is usually older tips that clog so I buy extra tips for when it just becomes too annoying.
  10. Sweet! We had one of the type only it was '50ish and red and white but I can't find any pictures of it so as to build one and my 60 year old biological computer can't produce the necessary data!
  11. Thankyou, I almost always use Tamiya sprays, lay it on 'wet' and then a little polish and hope for the best!
  12. See, I told you it would fit! Now, I don't want anyone asking how they managed to get the clutch and transmission and transfercase all mated because I have no idea. Sometimes you just have to take things on faith! Away for a week so no posts for a while.
  13. Nice looking PC but any dogs that I have had anything to do with would have made short work of the back seat!
  14. Thankyou, this is 'Under glass', but I posted these pics in answer to request for them and this is all that I could find.
  15. 1962, to be exact!
  16. Just for sake of interest, here are some pics taken during the build (I 'found' them while cleaning up my photo file). The documentation is not complete, I did not belong to any car modeling sites at the time and I think that I took the pictures just to play with my camera!
  17. I use small pins, brads, ship-building nails, whatever I can find with a head size that I can live with. It does require drilling a small hole for every rivet however. I cut off the head with a bit of shaft left and CA it into the hole. It goes without saying that this is easier to do the larger the scale. I have also used the CA dot method but for larger heads or orky stuff where the sizes of the heads could be different. To give an idea of the sizes possible, Ork hob-nailed boots: After doing this one I changed to the 'glue in a brass rod and cut off' method!
  18. Nice looking build, everything seems to be in the right place.
  19. They probably used the high-speed tractor, less armour to get rid of. This could be done in one of the 'military' scales, I would opt for 1/16 or even better, for these tired old eyes, 1/6!
  20. Not much got done today, just the passenger door panel.
  21. Nice details.
  22. Looks OK.
