  1. Rodney, how can you say it was a nice haul, I haven't posted mine yet!! The Nismo van is Wheelman's, even though it did spend some time with my haul in the back of his car!! This is what I brought home from the Pittsburgh show on Sunday, much to the displeasure of my better half! I did end up with some JDM: The truckstop, and the Tahoes are for the DOT Enforcement division: A couple large scale and a neat lighted visor. A few for the American crowd: And I bought this from Wheelman: There is still more, to be continued.....
  2. Very nice Kevin, and let me help by posting the direct link to the album. http://s254.photobucket.com/albums/hh108/Robbo2008_70/Radio%20Control%20%20FIRE%20RESCUE%20TRUCK/ That way others can go directly to it.
  3. Are you posting through the forum itself directly from your computer or through photobucket??
  4. Unfortunately my fiancee was, and I don't have kids, but my wonderful better half was not happy when I pulled in the driveway with my haul from the Pittsburgh show yesterday!! She was nice enough to help me unload the cab of the truck, which barely had any room left for me to drive home in, but I had to listen to the "Don't you have enough models!!" speach the whole time she was helping me unload! I haven't taken a pic of the haul yet, but I'll get that done later today. It was a great show and was great to meet James and Mike, as well as a few other members of the MCM community, and a special thanks to Mike for picking my hitchhiking butt up on the way!!
  5. Yes, great jobs on the Lonestars so far guys. I hope to FINALLY get me a couple at the Pittsburgh show tomorrow. I was also hoping to finish the Ford, but between 12 hr shifts 5 days a week at my new job and just not getting off my lazy butt yesterday and today on days I requested off just to finish the truck and not going back to the bench, it will have to wait. There was just too much to finish and scratchbuild and not enough time.
  6. Well, it's going very slowly!! I haven't worked on it since the first mockup when I started this thread, too many other projects are in the way. If it sits on the back burner much longer, it will be burnt to a crisp!!
  7. I don't know if it's Tim's or not Chucky, but someone did. I found that pic while searching for Movin On truck pics a while ago.
  8. If you mean this one Tim, there is one problem, you will still not have correct reference pics! Paul's truck has been updated with a Pete airride suspension!! The second pic is from Paul's "TV Truckin'" website, here is a link to it. http://www.tvtruckin.com/index.html Look under the "Movin' On Restoration" tab and you'll see the pic.
  9. Oh, you mean something like this?? Or, what if Sonny wanted a cabover??
  10. On this, the 10th aniversary of the attack on this country, I ask that you remember the families of the victims of the attacks and the brave men and women who responded as just a part of their jobs, the firefighters, EMTs, and law enforcement. I also ask that you remember the brave men and women of the armed forces that continue the fight for our freedom and those that have paid the ultimate price for our freedom. Also, feel free to share where you were on that fateful day 10 years ago, I was driving a heavy wrecker on my way to a tow call when the planes hit the towers, and the first tower fell just after I had hooked the school bus I was towing to the back of the wrecker. http://youtu.be/AW8puRqE4Sc Or have you forgotten? I haven't! http://youtu.be/VpoudLoc8sY
  11. You were gone!?!?
  12. My prayers are with you and all affected Bill.
  13. I now officially hate you!!! That is my holiest of holy grail kits!
  14. It could have been worse, you could have said you had to work triple time!!!
  15. Honestly Mick, since you mentioned you'd prefer a Revell 50-70 era American car, maybe give the 70 Mach 1/ Boss 302 or Boss 429 Mustangs a try. They're all based on early 80's tools (even though I know the Mach 1 says "All New Tool on the box, it isn't!) and are actually not badly detailed for being 25+ year old kits. They're not high on parts count, execpt for the Mach 1's specific newly tooled parts, but they aren't low count like a snap kit either. The Boss 429 was my 3rd of 4th kit way back when it was originally released by Monogram back in the mid 80s and was actually one of my presents for my 10th birthday.
  16. Simple answer, yes. I tried the on off feature after Gregg posted this on one of my WIP threads that is about 10 pages long, and it just toggles the "Topic is locked" and "Reply to this topic" buttons at the top of the screen. I figure now with that type of knowledge, the "overwheming praise and glory" crowd will probably keep threads open until someone says something they don't like, then they'll lock the topic and go cry to mommy!
  17. Johnny, all in all I think you did the right thing, but in another way I think you learned a valuable lesson from all this, and that is exactly what your "friendship" means to him. I'm sorry, but I don't think he sounds to me like anything I would particularly call a friend, because friends don't turn on each other the way he did to you. I have lifelong friends that I would never dream of being that petty to, and that would also not be that petty to me. I even have one model building friend that GAVE, yes GAVE, me an AMT Papa Truck transporter for the sole reason he was not going to do anything with it and he knew I wanted it. He didn't owe me anything, and he asked for nothing in return just because he knew that box of unbuilt plastic would bring a smile to my face. If your friend was a true friend like that, he wouldn't have worried about dollar signs, but more that he was able to not only settle his debt to you but bring a little joy to your model world with it.
  18. Looking nice Gordon and Willie! I'm hoping while I'm off work the next couple days I can get working on the Ford so I can get it finished for Pittsburgh on the 18th!
  19. Will a melon hat work!?!?
  20. Going with model, something just looks too fake with the rear view mirror.
  21. x2!!
  22. Me likey, and hopefully we both make it for Pittsburgh on the 18th! Now just to find me something big enough to sneak it home with me!
  23. Not a problem at all Willie, I'll get you added to the list.
  24. 16 million US dollars for a slot car!?!? I'd like to know what they're smoking, because I WANT SOME!!!
