  6. Altering the interrior tub. Extended the flor and glued the frame + added rivets down under. Next I cut out side walls of tub to move them closer to cab walls. By the way: what should I do to upload more then 5 photos at once?
  7. Update. Finally have painted the cab. The paint that I used half year ago, have dried. So I bought fresh one. It's - Mobihel "Moulin Rouge": Masking I guess I brushed too much layers. It's too dark. What do you thing? BMF is too old. And some areas haven't stick well. So the cab needs some work.
  8. Tim, I have noticed bottom exhaust pipe painted blue. Upps. But I like the pictures anyway. Like Doug said: "You've really caught the golden age of trucking!"
  9. Friends, what is the meaning of term "dobhouse"? I just foud a historical review about this truck. They say "The dobhouse on these trucks was readily removable, and not a part of the structure of the cab".
  10. Yes Jim. This is Alclad. Thank you, friends for your comments!
  11. Thank you guys. Very kind of you. A little progress. I decided to alter hand rails, steps and mirror arms because of seams they have: Here is the jig to solder steps There are hand-rails of cooper wire below and kit part above: Mirror arms: Finally all the parts (which should be) were chromed: Thank you for yuor interest.

Regards, Sergey
  14. Hello, Comrads! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year to every one. At the moment I'm working on DuraStar resin cab and need to fill some scratches. What do you usually use to fiil resin parts? What will last longer in handling? I incline to use 5 min epoxy as a putty. Wat do you think?
  15. Forgot to say - Yes Tony, all cooper wires are varnish coated. Thank you, Mike!
  16. Thank you, friends! Hey, Tony, I was thinking (scratching my head) about COE clach system and still can't figure out - how mechanic clach could work here? So I desided to make it pnevmatic.
  17. The result: The spare tube pieces (dark pieces on a previous pic) are filed down: The bullbar: Rear mud flaps will be made of this: Here we can see: abowe - uder cab part of gear shift slot, in a midle - steering linkage cardan between steering column and power steering, on the right - there are vent door handles: Thank you for interest
  18. O-key, let's continue: Now I finished to scratch silencers and air filter inlet pipe: Cut out cab doors: Here is my way to make piano hinges. I used brass angles and 0,8mm brass tubes: Here is my jig to solder tubes & angles. Don't care about blue knob. It was made for rear springs scrach. Pieces of angle are holded in place by stepler pins: Cooper wire (twisted revers side of the jig) is holding the tubes:
  19. Hi, Denis. I very like your painting and decaling on "Love Machine", but how did you make white letters on a dark paint? I'm asking because I tried to solve this probleme by a solid decal on entire cab. Best regards, Sergey
  20. Sorry for the delay, friends. Denis just said that he fond of "Convoy" movie too and now he is working on a Rat's 352 Peterbilt. So soon we will see more Convoy trucks.
2 Sticks & Chuck Most: Thank you guys for your comments. Didn't know that XJ220 article published already.
  22. It's allways nice to learn something new (or old) about International from you, Dave. Thank you!
  23. A litle progress on the engine:
  24. Thank you Daniel. I guess I have to do this way.
  25. O-key, guys. The main problem is not about the paint. Mostly it's about air bubbles between cab and decal. I guess the photos are fail to show how bad it looks. Or may be I am just perfectionist.
