I don't know. I tried that with Revell and Round2 about pickups. I got "signatures" of 100 people on the Scale Auto forum and added them to an email to these two about making some new pickup truck kits. I don't know that it really did any good. Might do more good if a bunch of us sent individual emails. I would love to see newer truck kits that were $40-$50 instead of $80-$100. STewart

Wow. I love the style. Beautiful build. STewart

Very funny dennis LOL Seriously, I do really like the prices that AMT has on their kits. It is sad that they haven't made any modern trucks. That would be great. Just to return a little GOOD for EVIL I think ford has some really great products out there and I have to hand it to them for weathering this economy and not taking a bailout. So I will be a team player (unlike some others ) and say go Ford - and try to catch that hemi STewart.

I know the prices are kind of steep doubleD but don't miss out. RoG and Italeri have the best truck kits out there. If you really want to do a nice truck, go with one of their kits. STewart

Love that quote highway LOL. Though I am not really a Ford guy I am all American and I agree about the Ferrari. It would be hilarious to see an F1 car going here.

I love your style of builds mike. You have a very good eye for what looks good together. Can't wait to see this one finished.

Highway, Is this build eligible for entry? I would like to enter it. This is going to be a shop/parts van for my now imaginary but soon to be started custom car shop and showroom. I am now in the process of building vehicles for it i.e. a small tow truck, a car transporter, a race team, and a bunch of Mopar show cars. The van is going to have a 6.4 liter hemi (the new kind. I am now doing research) and allison tranny (scratchbuilt) ladder bars and airbags out back, a custom dash, race seats, and a bunch of shelves and cabinets for parts in the back. The trailer will have a few tools, more room for parts, and enough room for a small car. Pic of the engine from the Revell Dodge Challenger The wheels. Lower ones are the fronts, uppers are the rears STewart

RPP Hobby has some Aoshima Hilux kits for a good price. They have the single cab and quad cab as well as a 4 runner. STewart

Wow!!! That looks amazing. It is hard to beat a good pro touring build. STewart

It seems like the van thing is a "on" right now So I figured I would get in on it with this. STewart

I am now between projects (Very unusual LOL ) and was trying to pick out another build. Some of you probably do this as well but when I have a good idea for a car or when I am just tired of building and need to get some of the creative juices flowing, I plan out the next build – or two, or four – or 20 in a notebook However, none of the one's I had planned out seemed like ones I "felt" like doing at the moment or I didn't have the parts yet. So I began rummaging through my kit stash and found this. This kit brought back some ideas I had when I got it. So I pulled out a 21 ft galaxie trailer I had and I was ready. This is going to be a shop/parts van for my now imaginary but soon to be started custom car shop and showroom. Maybe I just have strange taste but I really like the extra "one-off" that those "nike" wheels add. I thought they looked familiar when I first saw them and I just found a picture of a 1.1 with those wheels.

Like the looks of this. Gotta love those old vipers I want to see how this turns out. STewart

I love it. I agree that the wheels look spot on for this build. I love this "pro touring" style. Looks really good.

Alan, the resin caster, said they would be about $10-12 maybe less. Go to his site Here. He has lots of tires and VERY good prices as you can see. Yes it will come with the trans. STewart

Al2Runner, No one makes a cummins pickup engine - yet . I just finished making a 6.7 cummins from scratch and it is at a resin casters. Probably won't be done for a month or so though. STewart I put the engine together to take pics and then I am going to take it apart to send to alan. The tranny is from an F-350 dually, the pulleys are from the parts box as is the power steering reservoir and alternator. Everything else is scratch built. Here is a link to the build Here is a picture of the instructions I drew for the engine.

I actually did not use any glue for the front windshield. I don't usually use glue for clear parts because either it takes too long to set up (I have ADD ) or else it is too messy (epoxy- never can get it quite right). This one didn't need any glue in the front and only a little in the back so I took a risk and used CA. Thankfully, it didn't fog. STewart
