  1. Yeah! I have done a lot of research on the cars because I plan on building most of the american ones. They basically took the body of a T-type buick and flipped it on the chassis so that it could be driven real fast in reverse. I have the hammer road runner started. I have to get back to it but I have a couple other projects in the way . I am building it with a sonoramic 383 with twin pro chargers I got from Shucky. STewart
  2. Wow, what a tip. New these existed but never thought of using them for velocity stacks. STewart
  3. Nice, well detailed mustang. I used the tires and wheels from this kit for another and it is really hard to sand out the mold seams from the tires. Good work. STewart
  4. I am completing the rear suspension and then this truck will be basically done. I assembled PE disc brakes and wired them. I am not quite sure but I think the wheels might be a little small??? Now I have the hard part of assembling the rear suspension. I made all the measurements and things, now I just have to hope it all lines up. STewart
  5. Thanks alan. I am working hard at it and should be able to get a lot done in the next two weeks. Next week is finals week but I only have one hard final and one easy one and the hard one is on Monday. The week after next is spring break so I will be able to get a lot done. Have to go study some more math now LOL. STewart
  6. Nice hemi. Love the wheels. Great looking car. STewart
  7. Why do we have to say so much bad stuff about the scale auto forum. I say each magazine and forum has their good points and bad points and we should leave it at that. Some prefer this forum and some the other. I used to be on the other forum quite a lot and only occasionally visit this one. Now it is the other way around. I prefer the "smaller" feel of this forum and how there are a lot of contributing members. However, the Scale Auto Forum also has its good points and this one has its bad ones. Who cares if they don't allow the Confederate flag or mention of this magazine. It is their forum. They can run it how they want. STewart
  8. I bought the resin body from Time Machine Resins. Haven't gotten it yet but it is supposed to get here in the next couple weeks. I have heard that it is a really nice kit. It was $40 for everything except the chassis and engine. Here is the link. STewart

  10. Wow. Love the scratchbuilding. I will watch this one. STewart
  11. Nice old dregster. Where did the tires and wheels come from? STewart
  12. Wow. Incredible!!! That is some amazing scratchbuilding/modifying. I love the picture of it next to the 49 ford. It looks like it is for a dwarf. LOL STewart
  13. The van is nearly completely stripped of the primer. However, cutting out the doors before stripping the paint was a bad idea. The loss of supporting material greatly weakened the body and several parts, including the front clip, broke off. This morning I went very early (before very many other people would be around ) and went slinking around the manicure department hoping nobody would notice me. Unfortunately, it took me 10 minutes to find it but I did eventually. STewart
  14. I finally got the wheels from alan. It took a while but it was worth it. The wheels look amazing. I now have to find the time to fit them to the truck and finish it. [] STewart
  15. If you have a Ford Duallie kit, you could probably use the duallie wheel backs from it. Otherwise, you would probably just have to "stack" two together or find another wheel that would work to put behind. STewart
  16. Alan just finished casting wheels which I mastered. They are 8-hole alcoas and will fit the Monogram F-350 and F-350 tires and the tires in the AMT truck kits such as the Chevy and dodge dually snap kits. Should be up on his site for purchase now. They are really nice. Just got a set today. Masters - I did the masters using modified F-350 duallie wheels and bondo. Alan redid them using aluminum and plastic. Much better STewart
  17. Tomorrow I am going to go get some new primer and get some manicure supplies to try custom Mike's fingernail filler. Mine isn't doing too great. STewart
  18. I will look for it. I have been getting this stuff because its at Fred Meyers and really easy to access. They might have that stuff too. STewart
  19. I filled in the passenger side rear doors so I would have more space for shelving. I found the paint for it and got flocking for the interior. It will probably be boyd's orange pearl but I did get a solid orange color that I might put under the pearl or use for accents. I gave up on waiting for the PE saws to arrive from DetailMaster and just used a #11 knife and scribed out the doors. When I did that, I realized that the primer I used (plastikote primer/filler) was about a 1/32" thick. Way too much. So I am going to have to find another readily available, cheap primer because this stuff goes on way too thick (or maybe I just use way to many coats[]) It is now covered in EasyOff to remove it. When it comes out, I am going to redo some of the rather sloppy bodywork and I will have to reinforce the front end with some metal strips. I got a upholstery leopard decal from Scaledreams as an accent for the seats. I will probably paint the center section of the seats orange and put the decal on over it. I also received in the mail today a set of spun aluminum exhaust tips. Here is the beginnings of the new suspension. I will probably add shocks as well to this setup STewart
  20. Those are very nice-looking hinges. I would definitely appreciate a tutorial on them. STewart
  21. I placed an order a month ago directly with detailmaster and I have not received it yet. I emailed them about a week ago asking about how the order was going and still have not received a reply. Has anyone ordered from them recently? Are they still taking orders from their site? STewart
  22. I made some boxes for some K&N filters using microsoft word. I did a google search for K&N box or something like that (be creative) and took the images and pasted them onto my box design. Pretty simple, just takes a little figuring out. STewart
  23. I have made only minor advancements on mine. I found a NASCAR rear suspension and it will work very well. Thanks for the suggestion doubleD. Won't have much time to work on it in the next couple weeks. I am behind on homework and finals week is quickly approaching. I found a good paint for it. The base color is going to be Boyd's sunburst STewart
  24. Should be. They are the same size as the duellie wheels from the Monogram F-350 STewart
