  1. Boy-Howdy! Today sure didn't go as planned! So I originally sat down at the bench today to get my hood whipped into shape. Not only is the shape completely wrong at the back edge of it, after swapping out the windshield/cowl, it most definitely would not jive. In addition to that, the next thing that always bugged me was the side profile of the hood. It almost appeared like the hood was pie-cut or something. This was one of the first pictures I took of this project and you can see what I mean. The top of the hood should be flat and parallel with the top of the fenders.
  2. What a sweetheart! Very clean!

  5. The hood is next...
  6. Well, as expected, it snugged down quite nicely once glued.
  7. I'll take that over no brains!
  8. That is SLICK! Nice job!!
  9. Thank you so much!
  10. This is just sitting here and is not glued in place. So, I'm sure I'll get it nestled down a little better when I permanently attach it. Now, sure I've got some work to do but overall, I'm VERY happy with how well this piece fits!
  11. So thank you Revell for getting it right on the Olds! Now, it's surgery time...
  12. So the most-complained about issue with this kit is undoubtedly the windshield opening. I could try to explain it but I think a picture speaks a thousand words here so I'll save myself the trouble and let the picture do the talking. But, in a nutshell, Revell didn't get anything right when it came to the windshield on the Delivery. Not only is the opening bad, the cut outs for the "hood hinges" is something straight out of a horror novel too. They are cut out up into the lower windshield moulding!
  13. Nicely done! Very clean!!
  14. Holy cow! That's really nice!!
  15. Got the wheels/tires finished up this morning.
  16. Well, this will probably be the last post in this thread. I'm waiting on the windshield frame and headlight buckets to come back from Chrometech. I clear coated the body yesterday and will give it sufficient time to heal up and then she'll be polished out. Other than that...she's pretty much a wrap. Thanks for riding along and watch for this one in the Under Glass section soon.
  17. Cowabunga!! That is hands down the nicest one of those I've seen yet!! That's crazy nice!
  18. Great idea! It turned out nicely....err, I mean bad... Lol
