I totally understand the money thing ~BUT~I bow to thee,because of these kind of results that you have done with just simple basic tools,even on my budget(single dad of one sweet lil' girl)I have just a few more tools than that and I am sure I couldn't even get 1/4 of the results you have.....but when I read your reply and after I picked up my jaw off the floor,Tom you are an inspiration,thanks to you I now can try to do some things in modeling that I thought I would need many special tools for and $$$$ too but never to your excellence of skill.....thank you..........

Thomas,glad you have one survivor and I am sorry for the loss from a fire,trust me I know,been there when I was 15,my garage was under the house and I had a '46 Chevrolet coupe I was working on that caught fire,my poor mom lost a lot of things that could not be replaced and so did I.....guard that lil' coupe of yours,I had only one model that made it,Ertl 4070,cleaned up well but got totally distroyed years later in a move............

I have a subject I want to build,my best,bestest friend his dad drove for P-I-E and a truck similar to this one pictured....I am looking for info on the wheel base,she looks much shorter than the AMT kit,also looks lower and with cutting down the w/b what to do with the battery box....any ideas or comment/links of any kind would be highly appreciated as I have never tried anything to this degree but being this forum has very knowledgeable members and even some truckers from the day....Thanks !!!
