  1. Looks like I'm gonna hafta pay a visit to my local Chevy dealer today and order one of those speed demons. Yeah, right!!!!
  2. When I built mine with the resin stock height roof, I believe I used the decals from Fred Cady and also Slixx.
  3. Yes, I also fall in that age group of 15 -79 years as well.
  4. No, I don't think that Jay Leno would be interested in an auto "graveyard." Seems like his collection comes from the "high rent" district and he has nothing but top quality vehicles.
  5. I just love it when I'm done shoveling and plowing and put everything away, and as soon as I get into the house, the village plow comes by and dumps some more snow on the apron of my driveway. Lots MORE snow. It's almost a "given" every time I go out there.
  6. Looking out my window this morning, I see the snow that was promised to us. After a couple of cups of coffee, I guess I'll "suit up" and go play in it "again." Maybe I'll find my morning paper buried under the snow as well.
  7. I think and I hope that we're in the "home stretch" Harry, and we'll get through this winter yet. It's worked every winter so far. LOL!
  8. More snow this morning, and more snow tomorrow morning as well. It's gettin' to be a habit lately. Spring will be here in two weeks, yay! At least on the calendar it will be. LOL!
  9. Those "big scale" model car kits sure do take up a lot of room, maybe that's why some of us overlook that section???
  10. pharoah, I really love that "Big Drag."
  11. Bob, that's plain BS as you need spaces in any parking lot to accommodate the vehicles that will be using those spaces. It's plain and simple, and everything else is BS.
  12. That Ford doesn't do anything for me, otherwise I'd buy it.
  13. Nothing "irked " me yet today. I guess I'm doin' good.
  14. Restoring a vehicle takes LOTS of time and money. It's not anything like model car building. And you'll need plenty of room to work on it and of course insurance for fire & theft.
  15. Pretty accurate forecasts, where??? You can watch the weather forecast on three different channels and they'll ALL be different. You can then check the forecast in your daily newspaper and that will be different too. Must be a LOT different where you live.
  16. Sad news, may he R.I.P.
  17. Spring ( March-May) forecast? Are you kidding me, those meteorologists are lucky they can be "in the ballpark" and forecast the weather for this coming Wednesday. Give me a break!
  18. There will also be a few "club displays" as well, and there's room for everybody so mark it on your calendars and come on down.
  19. I've been enjoying my Girl Scout cookies and they're going fast!
  20. Yes Greg, it is a great event with LOTS of builds on the display tables, rock 'n roll music, a great raffle, the "other mag" takin' photos for upcoming issues, Iwata air-brush is supposed to have a table there, and Revell may also have a table there as they have for the last few years. This years theme is : 50 Years of the Ford Mustang and the sub theme will be: Keep On Truckin'. Last year we had 922 models on the display tables which is a LOT of "eye candy" and this year's show is not to be missed. I hope to see many of you forum members there.
  21. More white stuff on the ground this morning, but I was able to get to church and then breakfast with no trouble. I like having front wheel drive in this stuff, that's why I left my truck at home. Really no need for a 4 X 4, as I've done 50+ years of driving without one. Of course when I got home I had to grab the shovel and the bull (Toro) and get to work. The sun is shining today and of course we're another day closer to spring.
  22. Looks like I'll be clearing more snow tomorrow morning. Oh well, such is life.
  23. That is one cool build, and I think that I might have that car on 8 MM movies that I took at the drag strip back-in-the-day.
  24. Rally cars only do 120 mph? Heck, back in '67 I had talked to Dan Gurney. and in the Grand Prix races he would hafta slow down to 180 mph to adjust his seat belt. I would think that the Formula I drivers are among the best in the world.
