  1. Sweet build Dave, we have a member in one of the clubs I belong to who likes to build the Roth cars as well.
  2. I like the Danbury Mint products, but I stick to the 50's cars myself. I just love the fins, chrome, two and triple tone paint jobs, and white wall tires too.
  3. Sure is pretty, what kit is that from? Thanks.
  4. AMT's Ford Leva Car and also the Ski-Drag Boat kits are pretty rare.
  5. They are nicely cast and you should have no problem painting them either.
  6. Will they be making a '57 Ford Ranchero kit also?
  7. Hey Wisconsin builders, wake up as the Milwaukee NNL is on the 13th of this month. I hope to see you there!
  8. aka as Art "the dart" Malone as I have seen him race a few times in the mid 60's here in the Midwest.
  9. I've been saying that for awhile now about the Ranchero and wagon and I wouldn't be surprised if it happens. I did talk to Bill Lastovich about it before he passed on and he gave me an indication that those might be down the road as well. So we'll see. In the meantime I have PLENTY to build if I can pry myself from this keyboard more oftern.
  10. I just saw pics of the test shots for this kit that is due to be in production and released later this year. APRIL FOOLS!
  11. A VERY Happy and Blessed Easter to all of you and your families.
  12. I saw Boyd at a couple of the Goodguys Shows in Indianapolis and he wasn't too friendly there either. So I have always tried to "Avoid the Boyd."
  13. Bring 'em on Andy and the rest of you forum members that will be attending, as that's what it's all about. Fellow modelers displaying their models for others to see and enjoy. Meeting other modelers with similar interest as yours,There's a lot of camaraderie at NNL events and seems like always a good time. Some attendees will be driving for hours to enjoy the show. I hope to see you guys there.
  14. Why, was it that fast? Paltry 340 could be reworked to a 500+ hp engine with a few bucks.
  15. If I recall from last year and previous years, there is an admission fee to get in and you may display as many models as you wish. Andy, bring a few models to display as we'd like to see them. Thanks.
  16. Usually during the NNL, guys will go "out for a smoke" or some fresh air and someone will have their trunk open with kits for sale.
  17. I too like the "shake and spray" method.
  18. 1800 is kinda course, so next time start with 4,000 grit and then use 6,000. 8,000 and 12,000 grits for polishing ot your body. If you'll be polishing near an edge or crease, cover it with masking tape and polish up to the tape. Then move the tape to the other side of the edge and polish the rest of the area.
  19. Nice build on that Challenger, very nice!
  20. What a sweet lookin' Deuce and the photos don't do the color justice as that Testors Mystic Emerald is an awesome color.
  21. If I get anymore tires, I'm gonna build a go kart track dio just the way it was back in the late 60's.
  22. There will be a swap meet the next day (Sunday) at the Waukesha Expo Center from 10 am to 2 pm and I'm sure there'll be some "horse tradin" in the parking lot of the NNL the day before (Saturday).
  23. Sounds like lots of good ideas and some can be used when taking models on a plane in a (carry-on) luggage.
  24. Check your references as I checked on redline tires awhile back and seem to remember that those tires came out in '64 and '65.
  25. I heard that it should be on the shelves real soon!
