  1. What's with the lines on the glass? This is the 2nd one I've seen like that so I assume they're all like that? Doesn't seem your quick build is the issue here...
  2. "..... but the class designation seems to be for a supercharged car. If I'm not mistaken, that's what the "S" stands for. Am I mistaken on this?" Nope you're right, but those decals were included in the kit but it,of course, didn't even have the supercharged version of that motor. His Ford would more likely be in Modified Production or Jr. Stocker.
  3. Yep and Tower is *nearly* local for me....never have paid any shipping or sales tax there. But like I said, sometimes I want it "right now", so I use the local guys.
  4. They only get 3 of each "early release" kits.I bought 2 and the 3rd was on the shelf when I left. I don't know the staff there, but one guy is very helpful and the others aren't (as you found out) they are RC guys with little interest/knowledge in models. Getting a early release kit from them is all about timing (yours, not thiers) I only buy from them when I want one of the early release kits....otherwise I buy on the web. If you watch these threads on new/coming releases, often an "insider" posts when to expect these kits. This shop does get them promptly about the 3rd week of every month. Otherwise you likely will wait about a month for the general release. However it seems you have to check for them in person, I'm retired and live in Palo Cedro so I have time to do that. Good luck!
  5. so the coupe will have bucket seats, more gauges,an automatic trans, and a different firewall (just indicated from the floor pan) and I wonder what little blister at the right rear is for? It looks like the exhaust is routed differently and/ or the rear end will be different in the next version...
  6. Those decals (interior and exterior) sure look different on the car but...nope they don't work for me either. The 4speed pattern decal offered for the shifter nob was kinda "funny" tho....
  7. Very nice.. but those letters on the windshield stand for... A=top class level largest engine/lightest weight G=gasoline S=supercharged/blown. That poor Ford wouldn't have a chance
  8. I'm gonna dig out my monogram 31 coupe and see how it fits on that other floor....if I can find it
  9. Thanks... it was.kind of an odd editing job eh?
  10. "People loved its extraordinary soft ride and body movements which made them feel like riding some kind of animal." From the kit description on one of the Japanese vendors site. Wonder what kind of animal ride they're thinking of....
  11. Some folks just can not tolerate opinions that differ from their own...yet they feel somehow compelled to read them anyway. Strikes me as kinda odd....and alarmingly common here.
  12. I was hoping to see a 64.....the only 64 Chevelle hardtop was in the Craftman series right? There's something different about the bumpers on this one...are they from a different kit?
  13. I bought 2 at the hobby shop on East Cypress last week....is that who you asked?
  14. The shock towers/headlight stands are molded with the shocks in place..Tim did an excellent job of masking them......the headlights sit on the pins on top.
  15. LOL... these are aftermarket parts...none of them are "stock".
  16. It appears that's about the only thing "wrong" with this kit... while I would have liked a more traditional hot rod overall (flathead with an early V8 drivetrain), I'm very pleased with mine overall.
  17. I'm curious why revell decided to use a 30-31 style firewall in the 29.....that bothers me far more than the port spacing on the engine. Anyone know what kits had the stamped valve covers for this engine?
  18. Tim...since you seem to have an AMT 29 handy, would you mind checking if the AMT hood matchs the Revell body? How well? Thanks Mike...
  19. No. There are two frames (with various specific parts for the 2 versions) but only enough parts for one "roller".
  20. I would've preferred more engine/driveline parts options vs. the low-boy parts. I don't care for the decals. I plan to build mine as a mid-fifties AV8 using parts from Revell's 40 Ford kits and the other one in a more modern style. BUT... I think it's a great kit overall...the "extra" parts are kinda interesting too. Thanks Tim and Revell.
  21. I got 2 Revell 29 Ford roadsters....they look great at a glance!
  22. From the "Orient" eh? Is that near China?
