  1. I've heard Modelhaus has some for 68-9 Torino that would be correct....
  2. I've seen quite a few of these kits with the hood cut out when it really didn't match how the car was built....maybe that's why?
  3. For those of us who remember VW buses n vans way back when...who'd have guessed they'd generate this kind of thing let alone become "priceless classics"? If it's to be believed...that toaster will be a big success amongst the "cultists"
  4. The 2+2 and the Grand Prix are the same size. Didn't AMT do a 65 GP too? if so was it on the Bonneville chassis/body too or was it correct? I can't remember.
  5. Wow! I've never seen one done so well, not even close.
  6. So it's not how many you have...it's what they're worth? Hmmm. Do common thieves steal model cars? I understand most are drug addicts,so do fences and/or drug dealers take model cars as payment? I'm thinking it's probably safe to discuss what/how many we have here.
  7. But it *was* words *this* time....the pics didn't make his point. The last 32 Vickie I got was 25 years ago..squashed body in a perfect box and the last AMT 36 I got was even longer ago, perhaps an original issue at that.
  8. Or too long...maybe a Bonneville body when it should be a Catalina body? I can't remember exactly but too short doesn't sound right.
  9. It's a modified re-issue of the original 65 kit (from 1965 to be clear). A typical AMT kit from that era.
  10. No just little "dots" with light engraving "suggesting" hood pins.... If those PE Dzuz fasteners don't really work, I wouldn't be interested
  11. Yes they are very popular. The 1/35 folks get all kinds of neat 30/40s cars n trucks....in the "right" scale we could have a lot of new raw material.
  12. Maybe we could get Tamiya interested in doing a 34. I just got their '36 Toyota, while it's "only" a curbside kit, it is beautifully done.
  13. Yep they're tiny ...without your close-up pics I wouldn't have been able to see 'em. The only hood pins I've used were those little chrome "dots" that came with Monogram stock cars....
  14. Thanks for the "proof" Bill..but I woulda believed you without it I hope to see my roadster n tudor from Revell (if I live long enough) I know they *can* do it. Look what they did with the 32s. BTW..do you or anyone else know why the AMT 5 window had a separate rear window surround?
  15. Very nice. Working hood pins even?
  16. I haven't seen either of them so I don't know....are those parts "new" or was it a matter of using the "whole" original tooling? I do think "fixing" the 34 would be much more "ambitious". But I'd be happy to be wrong I really would. If they decide to "fix" one, I'd really like a 33-34 Tudor.
  17. But "AMT" is no longer with us and Round2 doesn't seem interested in making (or modifiying) new tools so....if a really good 34 is desired it seems like Revell would be the company to make it. They've got enough "practice" now to really do a great kit if they decided to.
  18. Is it later yet Art?
  19. Yep looks like a Dodge to me....as does the pick-up from your link. If only the military modelers were 1/25th eh?
  20. Again..they DID warn the customer about what to expect inside the box..shudder I really like 33-34s all and any 1-1s. Unfortunately AMT(and a couple of others) just couldn't quite figure them out. I want a stock bodied roadster and Tudor sedan if anyone's listening. I'd prefer the Tudor if I had to pick tho...
  21. But they don't help it a bit....that's gotta be amongst the worst box art ever, but at least it does warn the potential buyer what to expect. A huge disappointment from the company(sort of) that brought us the Trophy Series kits of the 60's...
  22. Now, now you're gonna upset somebody with that one ... .but yes, please.
  23. YES to a new 1/25 34 (from Revell ) (although I'd be very happy with a straight reissue of Mongram's 34)
  24. Looks like a 34 Fordor to me....1/32?
