I really like your blog and hope that you carry through with it. I sent you an E-mail about it.

Ok, as I said I have been working on this rebuild. Would appreciate any and all comments on it. Wow, that door looks odd in the photo for some reason.

It is indeed looking good.

As Green Bay beats them to win the Super Bowl -
Thanks guys now at least I know what year it is.

I don't remember what year truck this is but it was built about ten or so years ago. OK , I have since found out it's a 34 Ford Truck, thank you. I was looking at it and found the fan was missing, the radiator was missing and some things did not get painted at all. If I knew why I would tell you but I can just barely remember yesterday. Anyway I dismantled it and am rebuilding it. I already painted the stake bed, it did not get painted either originally. Any thoughts or suggestion and critiques are welcome, that's how I learn.

Your words to this person would have done no good. He has been told many times the reasons and problems with his builds and obviously does not want to correct them or does not agree with what he is being told. Either way you handled that correctly in my opinion.

Thank you Jantrix for your reply as you are one that I respect and admire. The biggest problem often times is caused by a lack of funds to buy what I really want or need. Instead I find myself trying to make due with what I have and what I can afford. Doesn't always work. And then there's the ignorance on my part. For instance I thought the front fenders of a 1940 Ford were supposed to have what I find out are mold lines. Oh well, I WILL keep trying.

OK, I set the Starliner aside rather than destroy it. Picked up a Lindberg 1940 Ford and got started on it. Still trying the two-Tone paint scheme though. Comments are welcome, pro or con.
-
Ok, I put the Starliner away until another time. Got out this old Lindbergh kit. My favorite model a 1940 Ford, though I prefer the AMT model better. Still trying to do the two tone paint, but heh. this is a lot easier. Comments are always welcome. Darn near looks like a Taxi, don't it?
-
That is a good point and one I really had not thought of. I'm using it because it's cheap and funds are low. You get what you pay for may be true.
-
OK, the Starliner has been packed up and put back on the shelf while it is still build-able. I am so aggravated with the way this paint job is coming along I will either destroy it or I will pack it up for now. Let's try something else. Something simple and easy. A 1940 Ford.

The 1960 ford Starliner is going back in the box before it winds up in a thousand pieces and in the trash. I have tried four times to get the interior painted a creme and brown combination and it still isn't right. I have tried twice to paint the body brown with a creme top to no avail. Seems paint bleeds through the making no matter what. OK, I need more experience and a lot more patience, but for now it's back in the box for this one.

Just thought I would post a little update. I'm not sure I will try a two tone paint job any time soon. But I'm hoping the BMF will hide some things. Please feel free to comment.

Arizona follows Chicago down the tubes ...

Cold weather, snow and ice are things we are used to living here in Cleveland, Ohio. Used to!!!! Who am I kidding, give me warm weather anytime, you never get used to this. -
It's a 63 Chevy for sure. Other than that I can't be of any help, sorry.
-
I'll have to follow along on this build as I have two of those kits sitting here calling to me. But I'll finish the 60 Ford first.
-
Ok, I managed to get some work done to-day. Hooray! Got the engine started and the distributor in. Got the interior painted but have changed my mind and will do it in the creme color since I like it so well. I have to redo the front seat as it looks nasty. And I have to sand down a bad spot on the dashboard. As you can see in the photo above. And I got the roof painted Creme , though I'm not sure I masked it off correctly. ???? Any thought or suggestions are welcome.

Your all time top favorite model?

Bought all my Models at Ontario's store a discounter in Cincinnati, Ohio and paid $1.03 for each one I bought. -
In an attempt to get out of this mode on NOT building I am posting this 1960 Ford Starliner. I'm painting it a dark brown with a creme roof, or at least that's my plan for now. Interior will be a combination of creme and dark brown accents, I hope. Any and all comments or suggestions are welcome.

They all look good to me, though I like that taxi the best.

I've only been modeling for about a year now after a very log time away from it. Perhaps that gives me no right to voice an opinion, but I will anyway. We can rant and rave over this Magazine or that one and it means nothing unless those in charge of those magazines are aware of what we are saying. I subscribe to SA but not, currently MCM simply because of tight finances. But it is through our finances and letters written to those in charge that we vote which is better between the two. I have seen a couple of MCM magazines and in my opinion it is hands down better than SA.

Lookin good though I have no idea how to fix that roof problem. I've got more stalled projects than I do completed ones. Frustrating.

I am seriously considering tossing this darn Lap-Top out the window. Saturday and Sunday are the only two days I stand a chance of working on my models. I get up around 6:30 A.M. to insure more time building models. Then I get on this darn thing and check into MCM Forum, then I check Multiply and then Facebook. Time spent modeling this month= 0 Darn Computer
