  1. This is looking real good. I hope you don't have problems with the window glass like I did. It was way to small, fell right through.
  2. I'm thinking of doing the fenders in black and the body and radiator in Sunrise Red Pearl. I may lay a coat of the Sunrise red Pearl over the black though to give contrasting colors.
  3. After getting confused as to what is what on the 50 and 55 Chevy Trucks I set them aside for now and started on this 1932 Ford Street Machine from Monogram. This kit is so simple it's pathetic and yet I'm having fun building it. For those that have never built this one, there is no Carburetor just a big air cleaner. The outer fenders are the frame and so forth. Anyway here's some pictures for you. It was rather cheap, but hey I'm enjoying this one.
  4. I am working on a 1932 Ford Street Rod and want to paint the body with Model Master Sunrise Red pearl. Do I need an undercoat and if so what???
  5. I don't buy kits very often, I have fifteen in stash but these were on sale.
  6. Great question I have had the same problem.
  7. Looks real good to me. I actually like these cars though they did have rust problems.
  8. OK, I'm learning. Each model gets a little better than the one before it. Now I have learned another valuable lesson. At least for me. Never, ever open two similar kits at the same time. Now the parts are mixed up and I'm trying to sort them back out. GRRRRRRRRRRR
  9. If there are things on that build you don't like I don't see them. good Lord you would hate mine
  10. Either you build them really quick, and by the beauty of that build I find that hard to believe, or your parts you are waiting for are coming from Mars. great job.
  11. really great looking truck. The interior is fantastic. great build.
  12. The interior is like the one I put in my 1-1 many years ago. Still have a lot of work to do on this car.

    64 Galaxie

First picture look to be a 64 for sure. Nice project. Looking good so far.
  14. Nothing elaborate. Still work to do on the 61 Chevy. Starting to plan the 50 C3100 And redoing the GTO.
  15. I tried to do a little foiling but messed up. I think perhaps I should have done the trim around the windows before I glued the windows in. Oh well live and learn. I'm going to try to finish this on Friday so I can start my next project. If I can get to a point where each one is better and I learn something from the build I will be happy.
  16. This is coming together very well. It's looking accurate and well done.
  17. A beautiful definition of Thanksgiving
  18. We all need every now and then. Welcome back.
  19. Nice looking so far though I'm not sure about those wheels. But then I'm a Crager or Keystone man. Yes I really am that old.
  20. There are many of us Model Builders that strive and struggle to build that perfect model. Yet some where along the way to completion we make that one or perhaps two mistakes. We always know they are there, but maybe no one will notice. Then there are those that are gifted with talent and craftsmanship that build that perfect model every time. You sir are a true craftsman Beautiful build.
  21. I wanted to drop in and wish everyone a very Happy Thanksgiving. Don't eat to much, just often. What does this have to do with building models?? I am off work for the next four, count em four days. Lots of model building time. Gotta love Turkey day.
  22. You have a very interesting back yard.
  23. I am one that believes we build to please ourselves. Obviously the items you mentioned are bothering you therefore I would assume you are left with no other choice than to fix them. Myself, my limit is set by two things. 1- My skill level at present 2- My wallet.
  24. I joined Photbucket to eliminate that problem. I just download them from there. It's free by the way. So is Fotki
  25. Never really been into drag cars but I must admit it looks real good. You did a nice job on this one.
