One of the best cars ever designed. It was ahead of it's time. Fantastic job building a fantastic model
  7. Welcome to Model Cars Magazine Forum. I know you will find it interesting and informative.

I have a good friend that lives on Walney Island.

  8. A few months ago I seemed to get several people upset over comments I made concerning work benches, stash, skills and talent. First off, I assure you no insults were intended. I was amazed at some of the great work benches, floored by the size of the stash and impressed with what I consider to be raw talent. Since then I have learned that I need to slow down, plan things out and procede carefully when building models. I caught myself rushing to get er done. I am starting work on a 1961 Chevy Impala SS 409. I am going to try to take the things I have learned, the advice I have been given and build a really great model. At least for me it will be great. Thank all of you for your help, your advice and guidence. Thank you Model Car Forum for caring about this great Hobby enough to put up this web-site for people like me. Happy Modeling.
  9. I don't build trucks, still stuck on cars, but you have done a great job on this one. Love that Low-Boy also. From what I can see of your work area I am sure some pictures of it would be interesting. Where does that train go?
  10. That is a good looking 69 Nova, great color choice.
  11. In 1968 or 69 I purchased a 1961 Chevy Impala 409. A lot of work later I had a great looking hot car. Lot of good memories in that car. I sold it in 1973 when Paula and I got married. Wish I hadn't done that. Sold the car that is. Happy modeling everyone.
  12. That is one sharp looking Camaro. I love that paint job.
  13. I love that third one, that's my style of truck. They are all really great builds.
  14. It's been a long time since I built any models and I still have a lot of things to learn. I just finished the 71 Barracuda, the other models are ones I built since joining this forum. I really think I need to learn this isn't a production line issue. Where I work it is. Any and all comments are more than welcome.

  16. You have more models than my local hobby shop. If I knew where your door was I'd be knocking on it to.
  17. So far so good. I've never been into trucks like that but then I'm old. It does look good though. Hope it's warmer down there in the Cincy area than here in Cleveland.
  18. Another nice model. You have some strange friends.
  19. Thank you and God Bless for your service to our country. Stay safe. We will add you to our daily prayer list.
  20. There are several trains of thought on this. 1- ( a little late now) is to pre-paint all your winter projects during the summer months and then build them in the winter months. A valid idea though it would take real good planning. 2- Purchase a small paint Booth and exhaust it out a window. I purchased a small Paint Booth from Passche, then took a board 5/8 thick by 12 inches high and cut it to fit the window. Then I purchased the flapper type, ( used for dryers) and fastend it to the board. Hook up the hose to sprayer, place board in window, close window on board, hook other end of hose to vent tube on board, turn on Paint Booth and paint away. Total cost 200.00 Hope this helps. You can get this Paint Booth from TCP Global
  21. Not sure I'm doing it correctly but I use, for instance, a flat black acrylic paint and put in on very thin. I use my brush to thin it out getting the look I want.
  22. I don't normally post works in progress or underglass simply because I am no where near as good as most of you guys/gals are. The 71 Hemi Cuda has been a nightmare getting a decent paintjob on it though I think I finally got it. Stripped it down about seven times. While it drys for at least 48 hours I dug out this old 1963 Ford kit I got maybe ten years ago. looks like all the parts are there so I'm going to build it. Mostly stock, nothing fancy. Any suggestions are welcome and thanks for looking.
  23. You may have had problems with these builds nut you sure wouldn't know it now. Great job.
  24. A model I would not have bought but now that I see it I like it.
  25. A quick question; could a person just stop in to visit if they were in the area on a meeting night??
