  1. There is no better feeling than a model turning out better than you expected. Nice looking Chevy. Get a case for it I would.
  2. Welcome to the best Model car Forum on the planet and welcome back to a great hobby. I will have to second what Junkman said. Just remember have fun. Happy Modeling.
  3. That is one sharp looking truck. I'd go with chrome revese and baby moons.

    AMT 40 Ford

The best model ever cast in my opinion. I love a 1940 Ford Coupe. I have one on display and two in stash and will buy one when ever I see it. I like the black and blue combination also. Great builds.
  5. I picked this up about a month ago I think. It seems to me that there were some issues with this kit and I am unable to find any problems at all with the one I bought. It seems to be a well thought out kit. Seems simple enough, I like it personally. Any comments or advice is welcomed.
  6. I have never been a fan of low rider type cars and to me the bigg wheels are nuts. However, I must admit it's looking good. No offense is intended, I'm old school.
  7. Picked up some paint from a local Hobby Shop, won't go back there again their prices are way to much. I ordered this engine detailing kit and can't remember from you.

    1969 Camaro Z-28

1969 was truly a great year. I was 19 years old and running around Norwood Ohio, they built Camaro's there. Really great build, brought back some really good memories.
  9. Of all the models ever cast the 1940 Ford Coupe is my all time favorite.
  10. A simply fantastic build. That's what a 57 is supposed to look like.
  11. I knew a girl that had one that looked just like that.. She was built as well as the car to. Great build.
  12. Where I work we manufactuer cams and cranks for those Train Engines, well all except the Steam Engine. We supply EMD.
  13. That is one fine looking Ford, great job.
  14. Underneith each picture on Phot Bucket are four different choices. I use the second one and it works. The third one did, but for some reason doesn't now.
  15. Lookin good so far. I just finished this same model this morning. It was a fun build, I really enjoyed it.
  16. Brandon don't feel bad about a lack of comments. Jim was correct in what he told you, at least somewhat. I comment on other peoples builds all the time and try to be polite and courteos and yet when I post something on the workbench or under glass is goes unnoticed. Ok, fine I build for lyself not others and I am trying to improve with each model I build. That's really all I'm concerned with. As far as your build is going I think you are doing a good job on it. It looks fine to me.
  17. I like that paint job and those wheels really set it off.
  18. I love these old style models as there seems to be more oppurtunity for customizing and hot rodding. This one is looking great, keep her going.

    1969 Camaro

I built a 51 Chevy and was putting it to-gether when I run into that same problem, warped frame. I tried everything to get it correct and finally gave up. It is currently sitting on my workbench waiting for my skills to improve.
  20. Obviously your model building talents run deeper than just cars and trucks.
  21. I really like this, sort of makes you think Ford should have had the F series a little sooner.

    1955 F100

I hope mine turns out that good. Love the paint job.
  23. I was almost finished last night and started to post this on Workbench Saturdays and decided to wait until this morning when it was done. I did not paint this the traditional color of Yellow. I do not have the paint needed to paint the marker lights right now will have to pick some up.
  24. I don't know it sure looks good to me.
  25. I don't build Box Stock anymore but I think the reason is I have been brainwashed into the new way of thinking. Out of the Box
