  1. Those with the red X have been started and put back for one reason or another.
  2. I will never argue that I don't have a stash of models that compares to some of you. But this will keep me busy for quite some time. The seven boxes on the left of the upper shelf are started and put back into the box for one reason or another. The others are all unopened at this point. I have two more coming from Deans Hobby Shop. I'm happy.
  3. Yesterday, Sunday, I ordered two models from Deans Hobby Shop. Two models, not ten or twenty, just two. When I filled out the forms there was a problem with the address. At 8:04 A.M. on Monday morning Deans called me to get the correct address. Upon getting it told me the models would be shipped out today. Now that is called service. I will be buying more from them in the future.
  4. When it comes to cars, either Foreign or Domestic, my choices are governed by my memories. I had cars from the late fifties, my first being a 56 Ford Crown Vic to my last fun car a 72 Nova. But when I think back to those cars I am actually thinking about the entirety of my life at that time. The girls I dated, the guys I hung with, the races we had. All good times. I have no memories of anything other than American made. Ford, AMC, Chevrolet and Mopar. But then that's just me, not everyone.
  5. I don't know how wide spread they are but they do have decent prices on things. I have gotten several models for 7.99 each. Large Duplicolor paint cans for 1.00 each. Bought a nice 12 inch oscillating fan for the hobby room for 14.99.
  6. I've been there a few times and in fact picked up a Police car model today. Supplies are getting low at the one I went to however.
  7. This is one of the cleanest, well executed builds I have seen. It is absolutely stunning.
  8. As long as it's a Ford or Chevrolet, gets me from point A to point B I could care less. Dependable, comfortable, decent gas mileage are the important things to me. But then that's just an old mans opinion.
  9. My wife convinced me to go ahead and buy the eight models I wanted. I picked them up today. Ya gotta love a wife like that.
  10. I have had a Willy's sitting on my workbench for a little over a month now and have done nothing with it. I have wanted to order some things from JimnOhio for quite some time and actually sat here and thought about, " am I going to build anymore models" I'm stuck in a rut, here.
  11. Looks real good to me,but where are the brake lights?
  12. Living in Cleveland,Ohio does have it's advantages, though they are few. I can place an order from JimnOhio and go over and pick it up. He is a real pleasure to deal with.
  13. I know this is a model car website but I surmise that there are those of you that also work with trains Not sure if this is the right place to post, forgive me,if it isn't. These cars are all metal construction.
  14. I had a 72 Nova and really liked it. Six banger, automatic. But it handled like a dream. Nice job on the model, I like it.
  15. There are certain cars that are just plain and simple classics. The 1940 Ford is one of them in my opinion. Why? I'm not really sure. Looks good,I like it.
  16. These cars were fun ti drive and with the correct engine set up would get you in trouble real quick. At that time in my life I preferred a bench seat rather than buckets. Want that girl real close ya know. Nice job on a nice car.
  17. I agree with Greg Meyers completely. The other day Harry said something that I was compelled to remark about. I sent him a PM and stated my thoughts, he explained his reason, I responded to that. Very polite, very courteous. No flame war,no problems.
  18. Sometimes the thought of we can build it better is not true. Case in point; Dodge Charger Dodge Challenger Ford Mustang Chevrolet Camaro Sometimes you just can not improve on the design of a classic.
  19. As a child of the fifties and early sixties we used to play a game in the evening. Identify as many cars as you could just by looking at their brake lights. Couldn't do that today, they all look the same. Back then we at least had style.
  20. Harry, I really don't see why you would lock this thread at this point. A discussion was held and jokes were made over the predictions of a very foolish man. All that is being done now is those that know the Word of God are sharing what God himself says concerning the end times. No preaching, no asking for money, simply sharing our knowledge on this subject. Which is, in all reality, not a laughing matter.
  21. No actually this preacher is glad it didn't happen. Gives me more time. I do NOT know the hour or the day and would not want to.
