  1. Yes, I am. The kit is more precise than the Fujimi kit, which I also have. I'm reconfiguring a replacement body to look like the Swaters car. The rear fender flares are being built, and I need to add mud flaps to it. The original body from the kit was damaged, and impossible to restore, and I am using it as a guide to reconfigure the new body. I also need to add the little cones for the ignition wires on top of the cam covers. I'm still waiting on a new bonnet from Hiro. The Hiro kit is much more precise, but difficult to work with. I added MFH blue cloth to the seats, and it's a big pain in the butt to get it to wrap over the seat. I will be building my Fujimi GTO as s/n 3223GT when Charlie Hayes and Doug Thiem drove the car at Sebring in 1963.
  2. I'm building a Hiro GTO as s/n 4293GT.
  3. What did you use for the mud flaps?
  4. Can you tell me the number on the set of the wheels? I have the catalog, but I can't find the wheels. If there are a set of Firestone racing tires that the wheels would fit into, that would be great. I have a Tamiya 1966 Beetle that I would like to use these wheels on.
  5. I can't wait to get my 1961 Fender Stratocaster finished.
  6. Still have mine. Haven't even touched it yet.
  7. Dr. Cranky, may I ask what kind of wheels you put on this Merc? I am interested in a set.
  8. Yes! Finally! I have been waiting for this moment since Moebius released the Hudson kit!!! Say, when will the #6 car be out?
  9. You will also need a photo etch set from Model Car Garage to enhance the chassis.
  10. Are there any photos of the Modelhaus steel wheels for this kit? I am considering a set for my Tim Flock '52 that I am going to build into Marshall Teague's car.
  11. I just purchased a Moebius 1955 Chrysler 300. I plan on superdetailing the kit, and the engine as well. Could you tell me where the ignition wires go after being installed from the distributor cap? Thanks.
  12. Any idea where the ignition wires go from the distributor?
  13. I play only surf music. My setup includes a 1963 Fender Showman 100watt tube amp with a 1x15 cabinet, a 1963 Fender reverb tank, a 1954 Fender Stratocaster, and a 1961 Strat that I'm restoring to "Dick Dale" specifications. It's gonna look sweet when it's done, and I'm gonna surprise Dick Dale if I finish the guitar in time for his next concert.
  14. Aardvark 1961 Maserati Birdcage. To be restored. http://public.fotki.com/KidCharlemagne/aardvark-maserati-b/
  15. This happened to me with my MFH 250 GTO kit a while back. It took me ten months to get a new body for it. I now know to keep my model car bodies in a safe place, and to keep a small pillow near my workbench.
  16. Which Daytona Coupe was it? I have a feeling it is CSX2287, aka the Lost Cobra.
  17. I just checked on ScaleFinishes.Com, and they have a color listed called Blu Genziana. I am wondering if it's the same Blu Genziana used on Bob Grossman's Ferrari GTO raced at Le Mans in 1962. Is it, or is it a different color? Thanks.
  18. If any of you have seen one, let me know.
  19. I just lost an Aardvark Birdcage on eBay this morning...
  20. A friend of mine from the Porsche Club used to know Rudi. He said that Rudi even owned Eva Braun's Horch. Another friend tried to buy a car from him, and didn't get lucky. I even have a picture of Rudi Klein's Porsche 356 Abarth. It was discovered in 2005, and has since been restored and painted French Blue.
