  3. solvents in the paint reacting with the plastic, I coat mine in future then hit it with tamiya white then business as usual.

  10. i worked with the makerbot 1 at school its a decent printer but the resolution is too low for fine detail work if anything its a good start to get the base shape then add details, my buddy got a makerbot 2 beta and its amazing what a 2200$ printer can do.but if youre making parts your limit in kit size part is a air cleaner before you start to loose detail.

  14. yes, the stuff i had gotten made before is a resin grade type material in not. the stuff theyre talking about is PLA which i think is what solo cups are made with in which case would fry at the sight of solvents.ill probably prep it the same way i prepped my prototype which is a dip in future then primer.
  15. Heres a really big shot of the tractor printed at almost full resolution the part can be made slightly smaller then with high build primer the lines go away.   18. i would consider what i do scratch building making 3d parts isnt exactly a easy thing to do.
