  1. What about hasegawa's mirror finish?
  2. They are already wrinkled on the backing paper
  3. They are already wrinkled on the backing paper
  4. I am fed up with the wrinkles and non smooth finish of BMF. Are there any alternatives? No chrome pens, no Alclad please.
  5. I was torn between white/tan interior or a colour matching the exterior, say, a dull, grayesh shade of the exterior. I guess I wil apply light tan or cream colour.
  6. Dear all, I had some leftover mixed tone Tamiya acrylic paint. I tried to try again the colour mixing story. Finally, I ended up with metallic orange. Although I like it as a period representative colour, I couldn't find a single Chevelle in an even close shade. As it is always with this hobby: we live and learn, and try to make the next model better. Regards
  7. If you have access to a CAD program you can import the scripts and convert them to a solid
  8. One my earliest attempts in 3D printing. I do not know why I forgot about it although it was fairly successful. Each rim consists of two different parts for easy and accurate painting. Low aspect ratio tires with exact dimensions. The tread pattern is generic but matches the avant grade image of the car nicely. Ideally, I would print the tire in rubber, or use the printed part to create a soft silicon duplicate. I hope you like it. Regards
  9. This back to normal conversion is a very interesting accomplishment that deserves a detailed WIP.
  10. The attic is too cold right now to print. I have been busy building a heated cabinet. I hope I can print soon.
  11. Up to 100 parts if I remember correctly.
  12. We have any impala from 1958 to 1967, and 1970, but not 1968 or 1969, unless you have a fortune you want to spend. It is a shame actually that Revell stopped the impala line after making so many models of this decade. Hopefully Moebius or galaxie (if they still exist) will see the light.
  13. Not bad for a 38 part kit. Finished in model master a kind of candy yellow and clear from the spray can. The interior is finished with cheap artist acrylic mix of sienna and white.
  14. And after a break of two months, here she is:
  15. Yes I noticed. Either he sold it already or he noticed I am bringing the issue to modelling forums. I noticed also the description changed to used.
  16. Nothing can be meaner than selling other's creation offered free of charge. I have very good reasons to suspect that these wheels are mine. Although I explicitly stated they shouldn't be sold, someone from Poland is selling them on eBay without even a permission to do so. Apparently, the only thing I can do is to report the item to eBay hoping it will be removed. Any other suggestions? https://www.ebay.at/itm/204201543205?hash=item2f8b5c4625:g:7swAAOSwj5Jjr-VP&amdata=enc%3AAQAHAAAAsJ239X%2FYMyfJinnbl4wPKKI8YC7DrN2AvZXEQyqeQnX57ARFQo9%2FHHdzoqJuYUOrDIFdeguOSsHU3WIG2MzeXHjPVK1AzsPeGNSJUgpj3hXrfEf1usqmtNWAHeshM0HUKj9O8DEKd3FJrcAnnTOth6TttL4R7WF56HX6ddzvq9WlueCTffk0zOaadizlaIkZqOpXHYKV1GaASiVTRo1kECRrJgVKhiOCFaUwSAH57CJA%7Ctkp%3ABk9SR9LwxeKyYQ Regards Walid
  17. Did I read correctly? 1:24??
  18. Absolutely not my cup of tea. I wish Tamiya made a 280SL or a decent Jaguar e-type instead. A later (and correct) version would have been nice.
  19. It is finally completed and uploaded.... THE WAGON IS NOT MINE. IT IS THERE FOR DISPLAY PURPOSES ONLY
  20. Oven cleaner never worked with me as paint remover. IPA worked sometimes, sometimes not. Brake fluid has been always my first choice. However, it did not affect the paint at all when I tried to strip Revell's BMW Z3 prepainted kit several years ago.
  21. Did it work with AMT/Revell prepainted kits?
  22. Dear all, I have a couple of prepainted kits that I would like to repaint. Along time ago I tried brake fluid with one of them but did not help. Any other suggestions? Regards Walid
  23. I have been working mainly on the trailer's details. Added Jokey wheel and grab handle. Construction phase is now finished, the project moves to the kit engineering phase. Hopefully the parts will be ready to download next week end.
  24. Now I call this interior finished. Lessons learned: never use cheap artist acrylics unless you know you will never touch them again. I wanted to apply the nice speaker's decals supplied with the kit. The water thinned the paint on the dashboard leaving stains of light colour. I had to wet the entire dashboard to have a uniform colour shade.
  25. Nhb WIP of last week, mostly interior:
