  1. Although the Motoram cars are not my cup of tea, this one is an exception. http://www.furball8994.com/images/2005bjcca2_992_34.jpg
  2. The FMs seem light years ahead of the other rivals. Your hint with the damaged ones is very clever. A third root would be scan 1/32 kit, scale the CAD then print. But hat is something I never tried before, and probably a brand new FM would be cheaper.
  3. Thanks for the link. I have not read 59 forum pages, nor scrolled all pictures either, but I am sure when Mr. Obsessive himself calls someone obsessive then he must be half crazy. Well, it seems there is no way other than fighting with a TKM thing (sorry, I cannot call it a model) BTW, what is Moebius waiting for?
  4. You win 21st October 2015 is Marty Mcfly arrival date coming from the past.
  5. True. Model car builders including myself (although I have not touched a kit for 7 years now) are generally not interested in dioramas. But small details like these adds a lot to models. The same goes to cargo items for trucks, horse trailers, camping trailers, surf boards,... etc....etc..... As for the figures themselves we may use figures from the model railway world, but yes, we never gave it a BLAH_BLAH_BLAH_BLAH care to have figures because we are trained to spray and polish rather than wash and dry brush.
  6. Making luggage is indeed not difficult. The simplest way is to take a piece of balsa wood, shape it to the desired form then cover it with any imitation of fabric or leather. The problem is I could not find a proper imitation of leather. Both faux and genuine leather are too thick to make a suitcase in 1/24
  7. Why isn't there any luggage and similar accessories for 1/24 models? I mean what is the use to have an open trunk when it remains empty? Imagine the difference when you add suitcase inside your Fujimi Porsche 356 and ski racks on the back, or a red leather suitcase in your Tamiya 300 SL. Or better see yourself.
  8. The 65-67 Impalas are undoubtedly beautiful, but the 68 model is the most beautiful Impala ever, in my opinion of course.
  9. It turned out to be very nice. I do not understand what do you hate about foiling this car?
  10. Looks like it was brush painted. I would have used normal glue to fix clear parts if I were in your place. However, the important thing is you had fun building it.
  11. Me too, and that is why I am asking about others' experience . I hoped to hear the heat gun may be dropped if the foil is applied to small panels like hood, doors and so on. Or to hear there are similar products that need moderate heating or none at all. The idea itself is brilliant, and, if applicable to model cars, takes us into a totally different corner where we will stop buying expensive airbrushes and exclusive paints, and will buy high quality knives instead.
  12. This is what I mean: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ypLUq6h718o
  13. Did anyone try to apply1:1 car foil to scale models? If it works it would safe the hassle with painting, polishing etc...
  14. The same here... join the club..... people like us could have been wonderful fighter pilots....
  15. I love the wood finish and the rivets, but the black wash is somewhat heavy IMHO.
  16. Simply beautiful. This metallic blue is one of my favourite colors. But why did you paint the rocker panels black before applying the foil?
  17. Did you ever consider mixing metallic paint with solid color to "kill" the metallic effect?
  18. You call lthis quick and simple? By the way, where did you get the six cylinder engine? The Nomad comes with a V8.
