  1. Have you opened the 1/32nd trailer yet, could it be cut down to make a 1/24th car hauler? Just wondering.
  2. Saw a fairly new Tacoma in front of me, It's not changing lanes, that was him going in a straight line. Guess the rear axle is tweaked, he was having trouble keeping it on the road. No visible damage except a small dent in the bumper. The other thing was this old trailer that was aircraft riveted together out of small overlapping sheets of aluminum or steel. It had rivets every 6 inches or so. I that the way they used to be made?
  3. That's one of the things I look forward to as 3D printing develops. My hope is that models of cars that aren't financially viable to produce as traditional kits may be printed out commercially and easily obtained.
  4. To build on that, I'd also love to see Revell do a Saleen Mustang based on the old Fox body Monogram Mustang GT tool. That was one of my dream cars as a kid.
  5. Beaters rule! Someone once said that there is a sort of freedom in knowing that you are the last owner a car will ever have.
  6. This one should be relatively easy to put out. How about AMT's evergreen 1963 Ford Galaxy with a few new added parts like NASCAR wheels and tires and maybe a revamped interior and roll cage? I know it's a pretty simple kit overall, but doing this would open up a lot of new release opportunities such as the Holman Moody cars. Maybe they could do some with decals like these, the British, European, and Australian Touring Car versions. That might get some offshore builders interested! Ford also raced some Falcons including in rallies. If they could retool the 1964 Falcon with optional racing parts included that'd be cool. Chevrolet isn't forgotten, either. Dan Gurney shipped a 1961 Impala over to Britain and won a couple of races before the car was banned. Maybe AMT could reissue this kit with some racing parts and a set of decals? Also one or two 1962 Chevy IIs raced in the BTCC as well.
  7. Thanks for the help, guys! I forgot I set up an account months ago and put a couple of backordered kits on the, 'Let me know' list. They got the Mitsubishi Starion in stock so I ordered it just now.
  8. I have several items I want to order from Scale Hobbyist but wonder if anyone has ordered from them before?
  9. I forgot these two kits existed. I wonder if the molds still exist? There shouldn't any licensing issues with the car companies!
  10. That Malibu and the Kia Soul look huge compared to those cars and the Soul is considered a compact car!
  11. Do you remember who the vendor was? I've been looking for one of these.
  12. While in another town, I stopped to get a couple things at Walmart and they had a few model kits stuck next to the diecasts. I got another MPC 1982 Bronco. Don't need another kit, but I can never pass that one up. One of my favorite trucks.
  13. I saw another retired Forestry truck today, this time a Ford. There are a few more around town, but usually they aren't where I can get a picture. I wish Ford would offer this color for private sales, I think it looks pretty nice!
  14. Passed this guy on the way to Abilene, Texas. Except for the tires and blower it sort of looked like Milner's car.
  15. Love your Koenigs! Are they full detail or curbside?
  16. I ordered some of these in 1/24th a couple years ago and they look good! https://www.ebay.com/itm/353290702912?itmmeta=01J3EJPRJK7Z4EWH7PV8FRT7VN&hash=item5241c45040:g:3pIAAOSwWBZmKpBx&itmprp=enc%3AAQAJAAAA8CP2A70yuH5c95859tH4V9Ognc%2FnZe3hLp7%2BoYA%2Bip%2B8pu%2F5MGNxuUGhy0bjd6tZs7QfSm9SGMWLazZwaBKyQs7zKk4s8H8ILVvtqc8Rt0%2FLdbx0Fzp%2FNa0sJwGRTjSvUDId05JGYlJ%2BAwq%2BCd5%2F84w8LPH4nZz1ayFa4HoeMrSADD1AdxOXDA8zS%2BYp2Id1NRWU5uY%2BSGJBBGI8utq9wmUibX2L0%2FgebFVHxuX%2Baisf4cgM%2F5GJxDfpS%2FNu7g8ScozzMUkQ2WeDXCqcgMB2rSF44N8nVjlewLsXEbgQdKbpAnHOL18Fyy0Amb%2FqbqjBSg%3D%3D|tkp%3ABFBMvonb0ptk
  17. Wish I had your skills! Is that a computer screen behind the shifter reaching up to the dash?
  18. No new kits to report, but I did get an old Porsche 1/24th diecast I've been watching, and also a new 1:1 vehicle.
  19. My wife also reminded me that I watch a lot of those extreme auto detailers and those weird rug restoration videos where they take incredibly dirty area rugs and clean them.
  20. For some reason, I started getting these Reels popping up showing people repairing cars I would have written off. I watch one and then a bunch more. From the signs in the background they seem to be mostly in Russia or in Thailand and places like that. Anyway they take cars that are practically crushed and pull the subframes and body parts out with chains and body hammers and make the cars look new. I can't imagine how the structural integrity of the car could still be there, but it always gets me to watch. There was also some guy in the US who bought a burned out Porsche and rebuilt it from top to bottom, too. I'd think the metal would be brittle or warped after that. The other thing is YouTubers like SamCracc, Tavarish, and HooviesGarage. They buy exotic cars from wholesale auctions and get them running again. They make me think I need to do that! Then I remember I have an '86 Toyota truck in the shop that I haven't touched in a year.
  21. Looking forward to seeing what you do with it!
  22. I did this a while back and it works, but the colors are pretty translucent and there is no white. Even with darker colors I ended up making three copies and layering them to get decent coverage. I also printed out some on a 3m commercial laser printer and they were a little translucent too, but a lot sharper. If you do use a laser printer, make sure the paper is for lasers. I was told that ink jet paper will mess up a laser printer. Either one, mist on a couple of coats of clear to set the decals before using.
  23. I built one back in the day. Not a great kit, but I was an 'enthusiastic' builder and had fun with it. No idea what happened to it. Probably lost in a move a long time ago. I also built the off road version and distinctly remember tearing it up for parts.
