emm, i dont get it. jim and i traded engines. i got his RB and im sending him a chev engine. i need the RB for my R32. im not swaping out the engine on the R32.
-
yup, f&f put an RB in a mustang. so no mustang, either a cuda, camaro, bel air or something...
-
haha im pretty sure it would happn. but first i need a cuda kit.. or how about a rat rod??
-
haha, that is a good side. lols. well, i have an R32 that needs a new engine. one it has was already built and unpainted.. so ill still have an extral one..maybe a cuda!
-
dang jim. your build seems have shaken the hornets hive!

hey mike. its an actual ring that comes in some of the older aoshima wheel sets. of course ill have to paint it. on these 280zx's they have 2 hood extractors. one on each side as you can see in one of my pics from before. these are period correct. as for where the air goes, well nowhere. the kits chassis is a motorized type. but not like ones of today. on the first post, you can see how bad it is. if it had engine detail then i would make a proper extractor, like a drop vent.

ok viewers. im gonna give this a try. you look but no comments ect ect. but i would like to know what you think of this. the muffler sits on the drivers/left side but comes out on the passenger/right side. now, i dont like that cause i would have to run a piece of rod across the rear. i tried it and i did not like it, so i came up with this. now for those that dont know, the hang ring you see is a trend in japan. it pretty much a sign of rebelion. they are taken/stolen from trains and are hung on the rears or in the interiors to show their rebelion. so i chose to use it cause in cali, anything you do to your car is illegal and i can say this one is not legal yay or nay?

clean builds. i like all three of them. but that dual engine one just screams "FUN" so, when you say quick. how quick??
-
thanks guys. kuai, the tires come like this. they are wheel sets from aoshima.
-
george, i guess im on the lucky side. i buy mostly tamiya and aoshima kits. some can go for good coin, so buying her a hello kitty purse is ok. but yeah, the most expensive purse was 250 bucks. that was after buying a set of wheels for my 1:1 car. which was like 3x's the price of her purse.

this is pretty cool. i like the color. nice job on the tail lights. looks like it could have been a "treat" to modify. nice craftmenship.
-
for sure. im sure i have a few in my parts box. ill have a look later tonight. mesage me your info and we'll go from there.
-
pretty creative. i like that. as for that RB engine, i wouldnt mind trading it. what you looking for??
-
great looking 911. im liking the detailing. keep up the great work.

thanks again DblD. monty, great question. running this type of offset and with requires modification of arches. some go to the extent of adding flares. just like you see on my build. in the real world, the tires wouldn't rub or shread, well that's if it's done properly. if a person wants to run demon camber and deep offset wheels with out flares. they would go on to rolling/flattening out the inner lips of the arches. they also can pull/roll the fender out as much as it can before it buckles and destroys it. if you google fender rolling, you'll find good examples. especially on youtube. now, for the bearing question. most noobs don't think about this. but yes they do wear down the bearing faster. now if they dont know about it, then they are fudged. but the hardcore demon camber "runners" already know that their bearings are going to wear faster and in that, they are already prepared. new bearings at home and change them out sooner that later. most guys i know that run demon camber are drifters and work on their own cars. hope this helps.

i would like to add this to what he said. you have a great and understanding wife. my wife is the same. she hasn't told me to stop buying. why?? cause im not out in the streets or bars wasting my money. of course i buy her a purse to keep her happy..
-
thanks dblD. im going to give this a try. im hoping to get this done already.. well here are some better pics. unfortunately i came to find out that the body has warped on me a bit. guess it sitting in a box for 10 years does this. so, that is why the rear under spoiler doesnt sit flush on the passenger side. ill fix it on final assembly. with it's buddy, shakotan ZX. thanks again for all you viewers. at least i know i have your attention.

heres a small update. hope you guys enjoy. this is the seat up close. this was done with microballoon filler. not bad i think. it's my first time using the stuff. the dashboard sun beatened the stickers. wheels with chrome stripped an idea of the color of the wheels tail lights on by the way, for those looking. thanks.

so far for me, it's in my memory. i don't have a stash big enough to forget what i have. the one thing i do is, i'll seperate the makes, IE toyota, nissan, ect ect, if i have more than one make/model ill put them in the same pile. for my older kits that have no boxes, i use large zip lock bags, tag them and put them in file boxes.

wow, dont know how i missed this. i have no clue what this car is! but i gotta say, your doing a dang good job of building this one from the ground up.
-
