  1. looks really good. you took a curbside kit and put the engine detail in it. nice work. but, why post it when you are almost finished? instead of when it IS finished?? just curious
  2. hey bro, this is looking great. the frame looks good. looking forward to how you do the front.

  5. came out pretty good i think. the pics dont do the paint justice though. im not a big fan of the graphics. but hey, thats just me. i actually want one of these kits. might have to buy one now. seem to go together good.
  6. nice tut. what i want to know, is who makes that punch set?
  7. no way, brushed painted! that is smooth looking bro. i only hand painted a roof on an impala back in the days and it looked nothing like this. i actually still have it.. i agree, all your builds look pretty good. i like the hako as well.
  8. if this was asked 10 years ago, i would fall under 1 and 3. but now i would mainly fall under 2,3 and 4. soon ill be in all 4. i do plan to build a couple of kits box stock. which ones?? dunno yet.
  9. i have this booth as well. i got it for it portability. i dont have a dedicated spraying area, so closing it up and putting it away is nice. as for the paints? i have used all kinds as well. no problems yet. oh, and i use aerosol. works great with it too. eventhough it does say "for airbrush use" it still works good. i spray indoors upstairs with window open for venting. i was looking at the paashe one as well. but like i mentioned, i dont have a dedicated spot just yet. soon though i will.
  10. dang for a 1/8 scale kit! not bad. good find.
  11. nice, i was looking at the humbrol colors this weekend at the LHS. they have some nice colors. might have to give them a try.
  12. haha, modern body gasser. wonder what kind of power plant will sit under the hood??

  16. heeey, you got me with the tail lights... great looking mclaren. the detials are nice, love it.
  17. im no mopar man, but these are looking good to me and i can appreciate hard work of others. lots of work going on in here. looking forward to some more and the out come of all this hard work.
  18. man, that front grill looks awesome. i dont think it'll be an infringement if you use it. it came with the items and since your not taking claim that you made it. i dont see why they would trip. besides, it's good publicity for them, you basically used a whole lot of their stuff.
  19. wow, great update. although i do agree with skip. black will show all imperfections. a shame if you ask me, after all the hardwork and all.
  20. wow, this is going to be one stunning t-bird. the chassis and interior detail are fantastic. eager to see this one shine.
  21. came out great geebee. i like the color alot.

    shakotan 280ZX

thank you everyone. i appreciate the comment a lot. jantrix: for the camber question, it's not meant for motorsports. wide and deep offset wheels under stock arches. google shakotan. it'll explain better than i can. i like my cars to have both the "go" and some style. hense the camber and intercooler for boost. all Z's came with trailing arm suspension. not completely an IRS(independant rear susp.) but it was close to it. they had a lower control arm with the axle, spring and shock attacted to it. if you were to lower it this way, it would give you this camber, not only that, but it will push the wheels towards the front a bit. changing the tow and caster as well.
  23. i know this in not every ones cup of tea or whiskey, but i hope you guys like it. its different, far far from perfect, but its meant to be this way. the 280ZX came into play while working on the 510. meant to keep the mojo going. SHAKOTAN 280ZX kit: USAIRFIX curbside, motorized chassis hell mods: just about everything. bucket seats, rear strut bar, harness bar, flocking, aoshima SSR MKII wheels, resin front mount intercooler(modded as well) well lots of work to get it this way. for more pics of randomness http://s958.photobucket.com/albums/ae61/trd4agcoupe/built%20models/
  24. as of lately, i started buying martha stewart flocking at micheals art store. it's actually nice and not as big as others. not only that, but there are several colors. i also use flour and microballoon filler as well. all three work great. microballoon filler painted martha stewart flocking black martha stewart flocking black and pewter mixed together. baking flour
  25. this is a great looking mclaren. the paint job is really nice and are you serious about the clear tails?? i cant even tell they are even on there.. keep up the great work.
