  3. top notch work bro. the engine looks awesome, well the whole build is awesome.
  4. now thats one hell of an update! im glad to see this one back. i have been waiting patiently. as it has been said before, great craftsmanship.
  5. your build is very nice. did it get done?? im digging your new toy. im a fan of wagons, this one is very cool looking. all black would look pretty cool. so would the tan and blue combo.
  6. wow, this looks great. i saw this when i was lurking around when i first joined. i wondered when you were going to get back on this. great work on replicating the decals.
  7. i dont like planning, i do like researching. especially when it comes down to a car/bike ect that i am not familiar with. i do save images and magazines that can be helpful in the future. but to sit down and say that im going to build a kit on so date, that wont happen. i come up with ideas as i build. none of my builds involve plans, just what ifs and ooh how would this look..
  8. i don't plan for a kit bash. what i do when i build a kit that won't be OOB, ill look at the parts im not going to use and put them in a ziplock bag. for example, if im going to build a track car, i wont use the stock seats or steering wheel. so those will go into the bag.
  9. thats a beauty. i like this one very much. nice details and the color just screams classic. 10 thumbs up!
  10. very nice builds. im liking all 3. i gotta get me a plymouth belvedere.
  11. thats a stunner bro. very clean build and that paint is sweet. do you have a white balance setting on your camera? if so, try to play with that to get the color down in the pics.
  12. hey eric. interesting color scheme you have going on the body. clean lines and interior. looking forward to seeing how it turns out.
  13. nice mustang. looks like your done though.
  14. i like this. a couple of good stories. heres mine. i was about 7 years old, moved to a new area and i had no friends. i had passion for cars. i would draw them as best as possible, had/have plenty of hotwheels and tried to watch just about anything car related on tv. so there was a toys-r-us near by and one day we were walking in the cars section and there it was. 5 or 6 shelves full of kits. i saw a corvette, but being raised by a single mother, she bought me a dodge stealth that was on sale along with some jars of paint and a pack of brushes. the rest is as i like to say, the never ending project. i can honestly say that this hobby along with other hobbies that i like are due to my moms support and has kept me out of trouble as a kid.
  15. what a beauty. nice find on those half moons. the engine looks great.
  16. @rob: back in the days demon camber was popular in the drift scene. mostly done up front for more traction while drifting. but with this type of camber the car was unstable and unpredictable. now, it's used as a trend for fitting wide, deep offset wheels under the arches. mostly seen on VIP cars and vans in parking lots or shows. there are very few that still use this in the drift scene, most of them AE86's. hope this helps.
  17. oh, heres alclad polished aluminum, airbrush required. i shot this through an inexpensive badger 350 using a fine tip. can be bought for really cheap and does the job. so honestly, just buy an airbrush.
  18. wellll alclad does have chrome in a spray can. you can get great results too. just follow the instructions... the bumpers were shot with rustoleum gloss black and then the alclad in a can. it's not too bad. i got better results with tamiya gloss black. it calls to use a water based gloss black. so next i might try that.
  19. nice update. i like the new rear skirts and those decals are sweet! how can i get a set??
  20. thanks guys. the camber does take some getting use to, well atleast for some.. jb: i think i know which ones you speak of. theres a few guys up in nor-cal running around uber dumped. i know one of them have a miata, he's on one of the 1:1 forums that i go on. im in so-cal and grew up around cars like this, so im already use to it..
  21. nice stratch building. you have my attention as well.
  22. thats pretty cool and to use the 4t-gte as an engine is even cooler.. looking forward to this one. although it looks more like a futuristic drag racer, it would be interesting to see how it handles with a narrow front track.
  23. nice paint job. your off to a great start.
  24. haha, very nice turn out. i dig the jam too.
