heeello viewers. oh yeah, this one is still very much alive. i haven't done a whole lot to it. but it's getting something. tylersloan, sorry bud for the uber late reply. but yeah, it barely clears the ground. the 280zx wheels stripped of chrome and the bumpers sprayed in alclad. the rear bumper is suppose to be like that. it's the rust effect going on. the dime back from the body shop. had to trim the driverside fender arch a bit. to sit better on the chassis. slapped the bumpers on and the rear underspoiler. nooow i gotta work on the engine area a bit. i have to build a radiator to fit the tight squeeze, fit the msd box, make a coil for ignition, start on the head lights and install the oil cooler. it's gonna have to sit out front of the lower valance. no choice, it doesn't fit behind it. back at home im not too sure how to go about the tail lights. they are molded in, which sucks. i left them unpainted to not loose any details. i was thinking of putting some BMF, using tamiya transparent orange and red. and then putting a layer of clear over it. does this sound like the right way to handle it?

wow, i use to build these in high school. nothing like what they have now. but i use to use the same method of bent rod, fishing line and motors. only thing i recommend is to reinforce the areas (with like aluminum from soda can)that the string rubs against. for the hole where it goes from the motors, use the things for buttons. i forget what they are called, but you can find them at micheals. if not the string will start cutting through the plastic. have fun.

Smallest engine from Ford... ever!
LAone replied to Harry P.'s topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
took them long enough to use what they already have. am i correct when i say this. the v6's and 8's run on half of the cylinders at certain speeds right? and then the other half kicks in later to give it more "go" this is why they are fuel efficient right? i don't see why they didn't use a 4 banger with a turbo?? wouldn't that in theory give them more power and still get the "fuel efficiency" they are after?? i guess, since they have that mustang that kicks out 800HP and all those turbo diesels in their line, they need to show more of this^^ -

paypal is pretty good at handling these kind of cases. even when you get your acct hacked and money stolen, they resolve it fairly quick. sucks to hear this happen, hope all goes well.

this looks like a nice truck. but i think we need some bigger pics to have a better look.

haha, that looks crazy. the paint job goes with the theme. how tall is the rear with the pipes?
-

that paint looks good on there. we call these toasters. i went to toyotafest earlier in may, there was a guy that actually dressed it up as a toaster. even had couple of slices of bread mounted to the roof..pretty funny stuff. sucks to hear about your work, hope everything works out for you.

heeelllo viewers, here is some more. it's a bit, but its getting there. here i used some microballoon filler on the seat. it's the first time i used it, i like it, but i need to use some paint instead of white glue. the tail lights almost done, the calipers painted and the MSD box for the 510. i sent the MKII's to get cleaned up and repowdercoated. the shop doing the work loaned me some bilbo wheels. the look quit good. heres the intercooler with couplings on. a shot of the of the dashboard in place

nice to see this one back on the bench. interested to see it done. all the work done to it looks fantastic. only one thing doesnt look right. when looking at the front window, the top part of the roof looks "taller" compared to the drawing. is it just the angle of the pic, or the way they made the kit??
