  1. well, progress is really slow. with this odd weather we've been having in cali, i take a beating on allergies and having a head cold. sucks really. this is what i have done eariler this week and last night i got some primer on some parts. as soon as they get paint, i can finish this quicker and get back on making parts for the 510. i decided to clean up the intercooler and put my own charge pipes. once painted ill add detail like hose coupler and clamps oh yeah, i forgot about the headlights. they are from a thunderbird kit. they looked like projector lights, so i tossed them on there. the dashboard got a slash of flavor. tonight i paint some parts and correct some scrates on the chassis that can still be seen. stay tuned and happy motoring.
  2. hey man, you have some creativity going on here. looks good so far, im sure it'll look awesome when done. keep up the great work.
  3. what this guy said^^ im sure if you adjust the paper type on the printer, it'll make a gap big enough for the sheet to go through. IE card stock, photo paper ect are thicker than plain paper. so cudos to you sir for doing this.
  4. i put the drill bit in as far as possible. but i have some that dont go in far enough. so i cut the shank end a bit shorter. this helps me out. but im sure the better vises you shouldnt have to do this.. cato, i think i know which you are refering to. it the one that starts with a P and end with a K. i can see why it does that..lols just call it a P-punch. im sure other will figure it out.
  5. im right there with you bro. it's tedious for sure! i tried and failed at making one for my beetle with dual down drafts. the hardest part for me was gluing PE with the needle and then the needle to the plastic. patience is def required. this thread is very helpful. im going to give it another shot.
  6. it came out a while ago and i have yet to watch it. i hear it's a great movie. i need to make note of it and find it..lols
  7. hey peter, nice progress on the impala. pretty cool that you had one over there. looking forward to the outcome, keep up the great work.

im not into mustangs, but man this looks tough. you know it's true, the wheels either make or break a cars appearance.

  14. hey davin. progress looks great. im gonna have to use your method for hinges. looks simple enough. i didnt realize how serious a GL build can get..lols take care and keep up the pace. happy motoring
  15. most stripped/gutted interiors are scratch built. plenty of time goes into getting these correct or near correct. research, reference pictures, 1:1 experiance or ownership also helps. there are about 3 kits i can think of that have gutted interior buckets. sytren sheets are the best for this and putty as well.
  16. got a good start. i want to build one of these to look like the one in the movie fast times at ridgemont high.
  17. man, some guys have rooms, some have dens, basements, or corners in a room...you have a whole space the size of a single apartment! thats so cool. nice stash by the way.
  18. hey matt, im glad you posted this up again. i know how you feel about the apple comp thing. ours crashed out as well. this is a great looking bently. i think my favorite part is the steering wheel. just that detail with the thread around it makes it stand out even more.
  19. that's a sweet looking camaro juergen. im looking forward to your next project.
  20. hey bud, i can partialy answer no.1 hobby masking tape is the best one to use. the main brand that pops up is tamiya. i know 3M makes some tape similar to tamiya tape, but i dont know what they named it. i have 2 rolls that were just given to me, they have the 3M logo on the inside of the roll.
  21. that looks fantastic. nice weathering. cant wait to see some more.
  22. haha, i took a quick look at the link. some great facts. again, looking forward to the progress.
  23. got some good progress ron. did great on those white walls. tip on picture taking. when shooting up close, use macro feature. well thats if your camera has it. it has a little flower as the symbol on the button. most cameras have two choices, macro and super macro. you can get real close to the item and itll come out clear.
  24. thats a pretty cool little kit. im tuned in on this one.
  25. thanks dbl d. this one is the one that was with the 510. this on is not an amt kit. although it do have a couple of monogram 280z's and a revell 240z kit. for power, an RB26 would be nice. thats next for another 240z that i have..lols the aluminum is actually a solid piece of aluminum tig rod. 1/8 diam. i tried to drill through it by hand, but didnt get too far..
