also, for comparisson on shipping prices, I JUST recieved 3 largebox(aoshima hilux, and datsun trucks) kits from JAPAN, shipping was only $27.00

where does it state NO INTERNATIONAL SHIPPING? over 3/4 of the stuff that I buy is exactly like this listing, generally never says to canada. I think the seller just didnt get what he wanted, and wants more money, plain and simple. I can guarentee you that this box will show up at my door and the shipping price on the label will be under 10.00 also, international shipping charges being higher is a myth also, for a model to be sent from california to me under 5.00US, for me to put the exact model into the same box and send it to california.... $17.00 Canadian. Like I said, i have another of this same kit, shipped from the same general location for 32.00 less than what this seller wants.
-
yeah, tracking stops at the border..... so its useless.
-
Also, im my experience - the shipping calculator is GROSSELY incorrect, but never have I had a seller re-imburse the difference.

I purchased a Testors Pro Street Rambler off ebay a few days ago, at a cost of 16.07 , shipping wasnt specified, but NOWHERE does it say "no international shipping" so I got an invoice, with a total of $11.00 for shipping, which was promptly paid via paypal. I am located in Saskatchewan , Canada, and he is located in San Bernadino, California 3 days later I get this email: "The shipping quoted in the add was for US domestic flat rate box. Same box to Saskatchewan, Canada is $39.95 plus $3 for tracking. I specifically put no international shipping on the listing. I need $31.95 more to ship to you. This is why I said no international shipping. Tracking is a must on international shipping so that I know you received the package." To be honest, I just bought 2 more of these kits, and one shipped from North Carolina @ a rate of $5.75 and one from Mesa, California for $6.02, I refuse to pay $31.00 more. I dont care much about a negative feedback, because I will appeal it, as I do not believe that I am in the wrong at all. what is everyones thoughts on what I should/ could do?

alright, so im back again. in the past couple weeks ive tried, Plasti-coat sealer in spray can, and Orion Brand 2 part sealer from a paint supply store ....... both of them still have all of the casting "swirls" etc pulling through. any other suggestions? I dont like the way that future works, I tried it and it leaves the body bumpy and all of it collects at the bottom. -
What is your eBay strategy?
mademan replied to Fat Brian's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I am very careful about shipping, everyone is out to gouge us canadians. 10.00 buy it now, 37.00 shipping. .... actual shipping cost about 7.00 for a kit regular air mail. if Im getting fast shipping with tracking I dont mind paying more, but if Im charged 17.00 shipping and it shows up with a 3.50 shipping label.....I will make sure I never buy from that seller again. it may not be money lost from them.... but I but ALLOT -

Im far from cheap.... but I like a deal lol. Great kits, are few and far between, so generally Ill get a case of them to hold me over. my riecent favorite kits have been the re-release of the lowrider caddy, I grabbed up 2 cases of them, and a case of the new tool 2010 Camaro SS. Ive also got a bunch of the Mobius Hundson Hornet and a couple of the 300. Revell has stepped up their game ALLOT in the past few years, overall quality is great, look at all the 05+ mustangs, Camaro, 49 merc, black widdow chevy, for the most part they are great, sure they are approaching 25.00 + a kit, but what more can we ask for; everything is on the rise, fuel, etc. etc. Most of the new kits have those chunky non-discript tires..... however, I see people complaining about them lots, but 90% of people building these kits are using aftermarket wheels/tires anyways.
