  1. Im far from cheap.... but I like a deal lol. Great kits, are few and far between, so generally Ill get a case of them to hold me over. my riecent favorite kits have been the re-release of the lowrider caddy, I grabbed up 2 cases of them, and a case of the new tool 2010 Camaro SS. Ive also got a bunch of the Mobius Hundson Hornet and a couple of the 300. Revell has stepped up their game ALLOT in the past few years, overall quality is great, look at all the 05+ mustangs, Camaro, 49 merc, black widdow chevy, for the most part they are great, sure they are approaching 25.00 + a kit, but what more can we ask for; everything is on the rise, fuel, etc. etc. Most of the new kits have those chunky non-discript tires..... however, I see people complaining about them lots, but 90% of people building these kits are using aftermarket wheels/tires anyways.
  2. heck mostly everything I have is on impulse, lol .... I went out for a drive one day, and came home with my 1:1 Camaro. I cant go near a hobby shop without grabbing at least 1 kit, that I want to build, or can use for parts.
  3. theyve owed me a couple of air cleaners and misc, parts for over 2 years also
  4. 90% of my purchases are on impulse, if I like it, or think I can do something with it; Ill buy it. The kits that I realy like, ill get a case or two, so that I have them on hand in the future.
  5. i just picked up a 1:32 scale Lindberg 1949 Ford Tudor coupe yesterday for 8.00 ........ opened it and thought ....why? lol
  6. in the mean time, you can always go to your local autobody supply store and have them mix it in spray bomb, or can. thats mostly what I do, aside from using other brands.
  7. Futurabat - Ive tried Duplicolor primer and had the same results. Ive been using actuall Auto 1k primer lately with better results than anything, but still not my desired results. trogdor- yes I was all my parts and leave them a few days to dry, prior to painting, as well as clean them with a tack cloth and generally degreaser before primer.
  8. Ive been building for years, and never had paint problems ever! I use mostly House Of Kolor through Airbrush, and automotive 1k primer. In the last couple of years Ive had more issues with paint than ever, mostly crazing, and rippling in the plastic. No matter what I use as a primer, or base the lines (swirls) in the plastic show through (usually on sides, and roof) or else the paint all "curls" up and looks like orange peel, but its actually reacting. Ive layed a clear coat over the bare plastic before primer, and even a silver base over the plastic, then primer but I am out of ideas . anyone have any?? Im sick of throwing out good bodies. - Ill also mention, that this is ONLY with newer Revell releases.
  9. yesterday and today! newest issue of Lowriding in Scale Magazine. 1 case of lowrider Cadillacs, the other 1/2 case of Camaro SS and my awsome GF bought me the 1:12 Stang
  10. Im having a problem viewing posts with photos. the photos are hidden behind other posts, and you only see a small section of the photo, etc. I can get a screen shot if you need to see what It looks like.
  11. thanks guys, ill look into both. Id rather have the stencils as its for a replica build, and they look more "painted on" and fadded a bit, so im trying to achieve the same look.
  12. hey there I am just wondering if anyone has a source for hoosier stencils? I believe that replicas and miniatures of maryland makes them, but ive never ordered with them before. does anyone have another source?
  13. I just test fitted the slim 20s to the monte carlo tires..... no go! tires are too large. probly around a 22-24"
  14. someone makes machined dually rims for rc semis... I grabbed a set a couple years back @ $125.00 but im not sure if they are still in production. they are multi-piece with lugs etc.

  18. theres one on ebay buy it now $260.00 and a few on amazon.com around $168.00 - $250.00 lol.... pass
  19. careful with resin hoods from that seller.... I have 8 different ones, and they all require allot of work to make them fit. he does lots of odd ones that you dont see often, but the quality is not there.
