Thanks for the encouragement, finished the interior today will get the exhaust done tomorrow. I will try to make glass for the car using a 2L clear pop bottle and see how it goes.

This is such a great job Mike, the color combo, wheels tires, and all the custom touches like the taillights that people may not notice really make it stand out.

I bought the monogram Aston martin DB4 off ebay. I wanted to build a 007 kit, but my modelling skills don't justify $100.00 for the James bond DB5 kit so i settled. When i got the kit it was missing half an engine some suspension part. I put the kit away and gave up on it. Then i saw a design by Bo Zolland for a volvo p1800 wagon with large wire wheels. I finally had a direction to take this kit, I used the suspension and engine from the early amt viper. The paint is ppg waterborne aston martin silver birch code: 1180. I was about to finish this thing today when I tried to install the glass and found it's not even close to fitting. So I'm going to make the window from something, install the interior and exhaust. Please feel free to criticize I'm really starting to hate this kit. Thanks for looking.

I think a new poll for the leaders of the preliminary round is fair if nothing returns. This time you could put a time limit on voting so we don't have to wait for people to vote. A time limit of 33hrs same time as the winning cannonball of 1979 and under the finished racers use just the leaders photos.

Just an update, i'm still in this got the body and interior painted the body is gm black (wa8555) and the interior is adrenaline red (wa336x). I have to paint around the windshield frame with the interior paint then foil it but just about there.

This is going to be really nice, everything looks great. By the way the the gtx all ready completed is awesome.

Both are great, but that '51 knocks me over. Just love that grille and the wheels, going to have to steal that idea.

Just posting some of the progress that i've made so far. Lots of detailing left to do today on the chassis, engine and rear suspension. I have decided on using the rear exhaust instead of the sidepipes, there built already just need to be painted. I will post pictures of the of the interior, should be finished by next weekend.

Hi, guys just looking for some opinions on the exhaust, I had planned on using the side exhaust but I'm not sure i like it. I could run the stock exhaust out the back. Any thoughts on this is welcome.

This is the ls7 engine and transmission from the parts box, and the ride height is set.

Thanks for letting me know guys, car i'm planing on building revell 68 corvette. I've just mocked the ride height and c6 wheels. So this is where everything should sit. I'm going to use a ls engine. Not sure what kit it came from, maybe a c6 corvette. (nephew gave a box with a lot of used parts in it).

I realize that there is only 2 month left, but would like to enter a build. I just picked up a revell '68 l88 thought this would be a good project for this. Have all the parts and a plan, so I should be able to pull this off. If it's too late to enter could someone let me know, if not I'll post pictures this weekend. Thanks
